I know many say that this looks and is a replica of the N91, but can anyone who has used both the N91 and this N82 please tell me if the keys are similiar?

Do they feel exactly the same?
Is the N82 keys harder to push? Easier?

Any comments will help, Thank you all

    @all yah out there(shoutout!)
my bro got a k850i from his network provider last december and he had me take care of it for three days now since he left the country for a short trip to the Land Downunder. here's what i founf out :
    1. Camera
    > k850i's camera seems to have a serious flaw in low light scenarios. images would load in a somewhat slow motion pattern and its autofocus would take about 2-3 seconds delay before deciding to click and capture the moving object in front of it.
=>whereas with my n82,you never had to worry about the lighting condition, all you have to do is engage the cam function, point and shoot, walk away knowing you got what you wanted, and how you want it taken.
    >low light scenario - colors are misplaced, a tad heavy on grays, grainy reproduction, the whole picture lacks real depiction and rendering of colors.there would even be instances where images appeared to have been applied with a cartoon effect,
whereas with my n82,whatever the lighting condition, just point and shoot, no holds back and afterthoughts about getting a bad pic
    >zooming in at pix- everytime you have to zoom in, you would experience a second of delay before the unit could display the pan and zoomed image.
all these after making sure that cam settings are set in optimum for every scene condition.
=>whereas with my n82,it all comes up in your screen great!zoom in anytime and presto, no waiting time!
    2.Xenon flash-
    >POOR. the flash cannot compensate image satibilisation in low light scenes.its effectiveness is only about a meter and any images beyond that would come out as dark areas barely recognizable in the pic's background
=>whereas with my n82, flash is so powerful, the subject would have to squint for a sec or two to recover from the afterburn...hehehe
    3.OS responsiveness -
    >no problem in this category. the phone initiates all apps with ease and without delay
    =>same with my n82
    4.Battery -
with heavy usage, phone's batt lasts about 2 days at least, an envy for my nokia n82
    5.Keypad -
its been 3 days now and im still typing in painstakingly slow pace there was never any difference than the first time i got hold of the unit. gish, you really have to be careful at the Dpad area.and to think SE users/non nokia fans were beating at n82's keypad for being uglY!
    4.phone built
    >this is a great looking piece, easy to carry around, elegant and classy, hands down!
if only n82 was built a tad leaner...
    5.connectivity
    >no worries here...no wifi even.hehehe..but i can live with that, coz i got my n82.
    6.audio and music play
    >know what...heck..there's not a big difference with the audio quality between the two, earpiece or external speakers - wise. both are no match to my neigbors cloned iphone from china with Dolby effects.stereo widening,megabass...with all enhancements at max level, u wouldn't know the difference really, both units delivers acceptable quality sounds using the external speakers, and highly defined tunes and tones using the earpiece.
at the end of the day...it pains to see people having the audacity to bash my n82 with the enthusiasm of an SE chief executive and gradeschool bully combined.
and again, pity to those who loves quashing oour admiration for the precious n82, when they can't even afford to buy one.
(with lines like "im gonna wait for this unit instead", "im gonna go for this brand instead", hihihihihi...LMAO!....)
with all said, there's simply no comparison between ma baby and this k850i.
    ho huuummm.......

      Glorious Update:

As I had mentioned a while ago, on the same day I purchased my N82 last month, I also bought a k850 for my sister (what can I say, she thought it looked better). She called me today and with the saddest tone in her voice and explained that she just didn't like the phone.

She said, "the flash doesn't even go off at the right time when I take pictures, and I know the video recording is supposed to be better, but it's so choppy and when I play it back on my computer the sound is always muffled."

She has decided to go back to her w900i (still one of the greatest phones of all time from ANY company imo) and sadly asked me to sell her k850 for her. She asked if I was hurt by her decision to not keep my gift to her, and I just laughed and told her it would all be ok, and next week I'll get her a Nokia.

      Straight up true story

It is really gr8 to recv your prompt reponse.
        :) :)

But i hope that you are also aware of my current concern, i.e.

The mobile manufacturing co's is really running towards having a phone with touch screen.

this is evident by BIG SUCCESS of i phone and smart phones who imitate i-phone(htc, lg viewity.......)

So I feel that since there are a number of phones exected to be launched in this price segment- are touch screen.

        p5i, samsung, n96, ...

I got my n82 yesterday, and although i have seen many criticisms about the keypad, i find they r all false.
The buttons are small, but spaced,I find texting to be easier on my n82 than my previous n73me. Like all phones, it just takes a couple of days to get used to the keypad. The camera is amazing, The best i have ever seen, better than n95. I took 2 pics in a room last nite, One with the light on and one with the light off, The xenon flash is so good i honestly couldnt tell the difference between both pics.
Very good phone. No competition from SE

The SE Fanboys should just shut up and don't even try to compare their inferior phones to NOKIA S60 phones.
Got my N81 2weeks ago and realy enjoing it,il be upgrading in July though and may get this or N95-8GB if nothing better is out.
Can anyone who has used N81 and N82 tell me how the N82 keypad is? Is it as easy to use as N81 keypad?

                              @AGC

You can achieve the full performance of your nokia battery after five (5) charge discharge cycles. So expect a weak performance of your battery on your first week of usage.

                                @ 4ILk

I noticed the same thing. I was only getting 1 day to 1 and 1/2 days in the beginning. Now its more like 2-3 days, with the same amount of gps, wifi, bluetooth, calls, and texting (I keep very close track of usage times). Its like the battery needed to stretch before running. Anyone else notice that?

Battery life sucked the first 1-2 days.

Now it is great. Guess the battery needed to be abused a little?

The battery is fine. Started my day 12 hours ago and used quite of bit of gps, music, and web. Still have 5/7 bars left. The battery always gets me through the day.

The n96 won't take over the n82 because it has no xenon flash.

Yes, i may confirm that K850 has a louder ringer and speaker, but it doesnt means that N82 rings too slow, its just that k850 rings too loud, really louder than the average phone...N82 ring can be heard in crouded places, dont worry about that, it wont be a broblem, unless you use your loudspeaker to listen to the music...
Same thing cant be said about the battery,
more or less, k850 has a surprisingly long lasting battery, while N82 has its limitations. But it wont be an issue in a days time, N82 can stand a day at least, even if its heavily used, with the same use k850 can hold 2.5-3 days more. N82 isnt a battery champion but it has much better battery than the first N95.

K850 has a slightly better music player, but N82 rox too!
The differences are not important, just ignore the ppl are trying to make fuss without any good reason.
All of these phones you are trying to get are excellent choices:

N82 is great overall and if u r wealthy u can use the inaccurate GPS but is pricy and big and has the less efficient battery

K850 is the smallest (if dimension is an issue to you) and the fastest but has no OS and WIFI

K890 has the best music player, and a good hard disk, but no 5mp

It should be N79 as an extention of body style same of N73. N80 series were slide. It is no where near N95.The xeon was introduces bySE year ago n K800,nothing new. The design is a trend with no direction hopeless. N march we may see ts price to 400$.Wait
