To the person trying to decide between the n73me n95 and the n82. Well, I owned this phone for about 5 months and the n73me is a well rounded phone, but excels in musical features and sound quality. It has a .2 inch smaller display tan the n95, but thats hardly noticeable. Basically the only thing the N95 has over the n73me is wifi, a slightly bigger screen, a better camera, and a more stylish design. However if you are more into music, i recommend the n73me as it has better playing queality than the n95. I am a recent buyer of the n82, and it rocks. It is like a merging of the n73me and the n95. Its buttons are a bit small, but spaced so they can be pressed easily, unlike the n73. The n73 buttons are close but after owning the phone for a few days it will beeasy to navigate between them. It all comes down to which phone you like most and what key features are most important to you. And to those SE fans that say the n82 is ugly, well its not, compared to the SE 850's keypad, which has which has navigation buttons and the keypad on the same buttons!

The E-series is much more reliable and have a much more stable OS. Phones like the n82 are out of control.

I'll just wait for the upcoming Nokia e71 that is posted all over the news.

The battery life on this phone sucks! And what's even worse is the design. What's the point of this phone when it is prone to get all so quickly.

The battery is very weak. Next generation phones will be using the new Toshiba long-lasting batteries that are coming out soon. The offer 10 times as much power.

Pretty soon, the functionality of this phone will become outdated as well.

Maybe if it has an excellent design, it would be to old in the next two years. But, pretty soon this phone will be in the dust like many others.

Look at the original n95. Just a few months ago, it was the best phone on the market. Now people are saying that is sucks and the n82 is much better. Next things you know the rumored n96 will come out and people will say that the n82 sucks.

People will never be satisfied by what their mobile phones have to offer.

        Father Vince:
Thanks so much for your opinions.
I do not feel so bad now;)
In Spain we haven't got it yet, some of us have been preparing a "massive" oreder of about 30 units to try and get a better price. But for me it is going to be a mobile for a long tome.A good camera, radio, and good music player for my holidays, kind of "pack-one in all", you know.
That is why I need to know.
        Hugs

More glory stories from the N82 book:

I just arrived in Washington DC for a new job, and went out last night with several friends to multiple "low light" venues. After snapping round after round of pictures and showing them to everyone (the ladies always need to see the picture they JUST took), I had to explain multiple times that what I was using was a phone, and not simply a digital camera. Of course, no one brings an SLR out to clubs/bars, so I was able to directly compare my shots to those from the newest Sony and Canon 'point and shoot' cameras (5.0 and 7.1 megapixels respectively) and my shots were definitely on par. I'll be updating with more stories soon...

If N82 is the best all around phone, why does it has such a low rating? SE still rules!

I take pictures in club and bar all the time. With n95 I didn't even waste my time since that camera is worthless in night. The n82 is WOW at night pictures. I take a picture and the whole club wonders where that bright light came from. Only if they knew my mobile made this light. The time of the n95 and sony is over. Make way for the new imaging king. The nokia n82 with 5mp auto focus carl zeiss xenon flash is here to stay!

There isn't a better mobile available at this time aside from the n82. Most of the people that talk poor of the n82 are k850 owners that are jealous. My friend has k850 and let me tell you, the n82 beats it in every way possible. After one week with the n82 I sold my n95. If you like pictures you cannot see, n95 is for you. If you like wonderful pictures no matter the condition, the n82 is for you.

                      @tony

the n95's have physically larger screen's.. its just that both n95's and n82 both have the same screen resolution..

I'm planning to buy a phone this month .... and I'm confused between the W890, K850 and N82. According to GSMArena, the loudness of the N82 is "Below Average". Also, I get annoyed with low-battery life phones ... hence I looked at SE's models. I want to know if the battery life would really be a concern, as I'm going to use the phone primarily as an MP3 player and a high-end camera substitute. Also, is the loudness really an important factor which would stop a person from buying a N82 ? Because what good is a phone if you cant hear it ring that loud, or jack up the volume of your favorite song on the speakers ..... ?

                                  @ Carloud

When recording videos the redlight does go on however the intensity is not as bright as when the you use the camera to autofocus. So, to record videos I would not recommend the red light alone in low light conditions.

                                    Dear Vince,

It is really gr8 to recv your prompt reponse.
                                    :) :)

But i hope that you are also aware of my current concern, i.e.

The mobile manufacturing co's is really running towards having a phone with touch screen.

this is evident by BIG SUCCESS of i phone and smart phones who imitate i-phone(htc, lg viewity.......)

So I feel that since there are a number of phones exected to be launched in this price segment- are touch screen.

                                    p5i, samsung, n96, ...
