I have a serious problem with my N82, the keypad doesn't turn on while receiving call, after u accidentally press any key it turns on... Nokia missed this vital most important feature in the so called best product in Nseries

So guys at night u have no clue what key to press unless u first turn on the light and press the GREEN button

    @bigupm@t2witdis1
    good job in coming up with the detailed fxnality of ur dream phone..lol..still i give u credit for the sarcasm at the end...yeah..people are never gonna be happy even if they own the world..but heck..im happy owning my n82...cheers mate...
    @Fer
    yap!n82 does come with its own accelerometer..u can either set it to auto or off...not a big deal but helps a lot improving the aesthetics of ur GUI,plus saves time in getting ur screen to landscape mode when viewing ur pix or watchin' ur fave porn files..lol
    @fatherVince
    hey, kabayan...gud to post ur honest opinion..2.2" 256k colors vs. 2.4" 16m colors...hmmm...no comparison here...no offense to ur n73 but its served its purpose, time to hit the sack...
    @fut bine
    they both,n82 and n95, fared poorly in terms of sound and audio quality using the external speakers...music at the peak tends to be garbled at the treble side,muffled at the bass..not very pleasing...using the headset though is quite different,your audio are alive with surround and stereo widening options, doesn't hurt ur ears even through extended playback hours,i must say SE beats nokia a mile in this category...external speakers that is...heck the china made clone phones of my neighbor sounds ten folds better with dolby stereo and full bass rendering...
    @awol
    yap...my officemate has n82 and he's got almost 3gb of music,2gb of video,tons of porn pix..he's using an 8gb microSDHC and never experiences any lagtime what so ever in apps and functionalities..im using 4gb on my unit...
    @DT
    yo! paisan...look around..check the signs and street marks, ur on the wrong side of the fence..lol
    @Raksmey and all...
    i give up to all who wants their n82 to come in a different suit..yeah..hey i just wish original housing for the unit in different colors would have the same solid built and no creeking sound..those are the experiences i hate last time i replaced the housing of my n70,a year ago.
    @Good Karma
    do your research bro...never fails to check the units also before u buy them,visit a store that offers all the units you're eyeing for,try using each for 10mins or so,check the details,cam,flash,vid,OS responsiveness,price,package and all, take a 15min walk to finalize your thoughts and decide..go buy the one your instinct tells u..feels like proposing a marriage to ur long time beau huh?!!i know...lol
    @wrf9
    there u go...cheers to you..
    @Nader
    what in the world is a pen bottom??!!im lost...
    @m@}x
    lol...why in the world are so p*issed off with n82's D pad ...haven't encountered any major difficulty with it though..get a life..
    @Dani
    salute!no phone is perfect..even the crappy iphone so many worships nowadays..its all about the total package the phone has to offer...if it suits your taste,needs,lifestyle,budget...that's the perfect phone..
    @Rakib
    well said,pal.though i beg to disagree with the software part.getting the best pic quality is a tandem by the optics hardware, and the image rendering of the software,all in all, cant get your shot ot be pic perfect without one of those...
    ho hummm...

            Hello everyone!

            I want to modify my previous post with regards to N82's display wherein i mentioned that N73's display is better.

            After a week of using my silver snapper and doing a detailed comparison against N73's display by looking at pictures with the same quality, my conclusion is:

            > N82's display is sharper, color is natural (the color of your subject is identical to its display, thanks to 16M colors) and looks warm in the eye cause its brightness is not so intense. But i'm still hoping that future firmware upgrades will improve its brightness a bit.
            > N73's display is very bright but not sharp. Pictures don't look natural and colors are incomparable to the subject.

            In other words, N82's display is acceptable at the moment and now i can finally say it is better than N73. Upgrading its brightness a bit would be perfect for me.

                          you kidding? N82 has the best D-pad of all nokia phones, here's a tip, dont press the D-pad with the tip of your finger, just the whole thump on it, its the most comfitable

                                No word on a Australian as such, only that on the Nokia Australia website it states coming soon. Maybe you should contact Optus or Vodafone here in Australia as they have dates for future releases.

                                I live in Sydney Australia and I bought my model from Hong Kong and it works perfectly here, the only draw back is that it comes with a Hong Kong genuine Nokia phone charger but I was given an Australia adaptor so thats ok. I've sinced found out i can use the same Australian charger that they have for the Nokia Navigator. The GPS works properly as well as it has Australian maps already installed. The Nokia N82 is a great choice if it's something thats going to suit YOUR needs, I recommand it highly,

                                If you can afford to buy the mobile outright, then I would suggest to buy it off ebay for a good price. There's a shop on ebay called zzit (i think) that has it for AUD$599 + AUD$49.95 postage, I had my mobile in my hand in 2 working days and that was sent from Hong Kong.

                                I guess eventually it would come out a plan here but you'll be looking at sometime I guess b4 it is released here.
