Too thick! The silver color looks cheap.
Over priced!
2.4 screen is too small to replace PDA or GPS.

I think 2.8 or 3 inch screen is a minimum to leave my PDA at home.

This an expensive brick with small screen without SIRF III GPS.

iknow that k850 is not the best around.but how could u people moving on so quickly and forget every thing that SE have served to us in last 3-4 years.u people can run ur mouth.AND FOR U NOKIA FANS.P5i is not far away.only5 to 6 months.and surely will kick nokias --------

I'm leaning to the N82 again....as for the keys i don't really care about the size when i have all my contacts on the sim! Now just I'm concerns are still pic and vid stabilizer! Does anyone have info on this?

im a big nokia fan.ive waiting for a nokia that fits my needs an that i would consider reasonable priced or a price i would willing to go an buy or find affordable.im not so big on following the crowd with the lastest technology an what not but at the same time you dont want to be left behind.the n82 is just that for me.im still waiting on gsmarena to review the phone cause i value their opinion.after they do i will try an get for myself.before they do i want to say thank you nokia.

get this,,,why do you need best pic if your camera takes the photo first time round ???? poor s/e do they need to take 9 in the attempt to get a reasonable chance that one may be decent ha!!

dont change ur words please!! u didnt say anything about bestpic!

for the optical zoom.... it does have upto 20x not 6 not 16 plus who gives a $h**t about digital zoom anyway ????

as for the 3rd party applicatios... EVERYONE CARES ABOUT THAT :) looool ... why do u think prefer the symbian and windows over the normal phones !!!!!!

with a third party application u can nokmote ( search for it on youtube and cry over the useless autorotation in k850)

now i got ur attention... so u agree it does have video stab.... loooooooooool
do u usually agree to openions without reading it ??? like u agreed that this phone has no T9... looooooooooooooooooolll

and no ... k850 doesnt have a flight mood like nokia sweety and they didnt start it... till now u can use all the functions in nokia phones without even a simcard.... can u do that with ur lovely k850 ??? i dont think so :)

java phones are quicker... so what ? they still dull and stupid and cant support applications " real applications "
on the other hand n82 is super super fast for a smartphone :)

k850 doesnt have better music sorry .... i have it and i have w900 and also n95 .... the best is w900 compared with the n95... k850 is out of the comp. alll the way with the low sound and terrible speaker

still batarry is FANTASTIC for a smartphone with xenon flash :)

and screw the battary life timing announced by companies... who believes that crap ????

on the other hand

where is the WIFI ???
where is the GPS ??
where is the VGA video with decent bitrate ? " not like the crapy video of the k850 u cant count squares on it .... even the 3gp out of the w900 still better than it"
where is the smartOS

i liked the k850 for the flash xenon ... it was sonyericsson speciality but now

n82 has much more powerfull flash " visit smape.com"

n82 as it allllllllllllllllllllll " Wlan\GPS\TVout\3.5 audio\ loud and clear speakers\ smartOS can provide u with FANTASTIC media players like coreplayer witch can play divx on ur phone and much moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

and ofcourse a phone ... tell me is ur k850 gives u the times and durations of phone calls ? :)

dont compare the MIGHTY N82 to the..... tiny k850

i did look at both the i550 ,,i560 samsung fones and dicounted them as they are both qcif video recording wich is no use to me,,but symbian on samsung with their brilliant screens i would not mind seeing

SE all sets suck .. they are useless dey dont not hav resale value in the market .. nokia is the best n no1 in the world market .. inshort nokia rulz!

Just go for the N95 8Gb and forget N82.
Battery life of this phone is extremely poor, even worse than the original N95 (which is already bad).
A pity of keypad. K850 is not worth a word (terrible video, no wifi, no smartphone, no gps, worst keypad ever, small built-in memory, uses memory stick, etc... sorry).
Those openminded may also take a look to Samsung i550 & i560, which are both Symbian S60.

Do you know why K850 has image stabilser??? Its cause the the SE optics do not have enough light coming to the iris. In other words poor optics!

Nokia mp3 players use ID tag2 and 3. Megabass are for lazy people. Errrm the N82 has 8 band equalizer it also has stereo widening. please dont compare. look Nokia holds is No.1 in the world market share. SE holds is No.3.

N82 have bestpic (4 + 1 + 4 pics in one shoot) ?????? dont think so..

N82 can zoom at 6 x digital in 5 M.P. mode

N82 DOES NOT SUPPORT RDS (RADIO)..(3rd part software...who cares about that..its what the phone have from start who counts..not some 3rd part software)

N82 have NOT track id, (once again......)

N82 have NOT camera stabilser..(only video stabilser)...k850 have both

k850 have of course flight mode, (they was first with it)

java based phones are quicker...everyone knows that..just silly to say something else

k850 have better music features..mediaplayer 3.0 + sonys Megabass, (but n82 have better speakers).

n82 have NOT a good battery....4 h talktime...very bad...k850 have 9 h.

slightly better ???? no K850-lover its not slightly :) its much better ... the bitrate is almost 7 times better and the size is 4 times bigger

and to ur information

1- it does have 9 shots in one click
2- it does have image stabiliser
3- it does have red eye reduction effect
4- it does have 16x zoom
5- it does have video stabilser
6- it does have rds fm (3rd party software)
7- it does have track id (3rd party software)
8- it does have predictive text input ( this is a joke.... right ? )
9- it does have flight mood ... ACTUALLY K850 DOESNT HAVE THIS U IDI..T
10- it has FANTASTIC audio .... K850 IS THE ONE WITH POOR AUDIO U IDI..T
11- it has the best media player according to all reviews thanx to symbian :)
12- it has great baterry
13- it has MUCH MUCH BETTER camera technology THAN THE K850

can u solve this for me :

witch fone is more expensive than the n82 although it doesnt have

1- smart system
2- N-gage games
3- WLAN
4- GPS
5- TV-out
6- 3.5 audio
7- MS office and document viewer

and it does have
1- worse camera and the N82 broven to be MUCH BETTER
2- worse video recording
3- smaller screen
4- the WORST keypad and Dpad ever made
5- less powrfull flash

m@jx,,you say both have 30 fps video recording but think n82 is better ??? 4X better in fact if you had n82 you would see it evidently on computer screen,,however since you dont have n82 how can you compare and therefore compare absolutly anything you have stated is better than k850,,walkman 3 and all that means absolute zero in real world testing so how would you even know walkmen 3 is better,,all you do is run a list of specs that we already know and try to impress,,,the testing is only proof and that also includes a print from the fone as viewing it on comp or fone screen is irrelavent to any photographer seriously its the print..

The N82 is very fast, considerally quicker than any S60 phone I have used to date. From boot up, the N82 accesses straight into the menu without any noticeable delay. Anyone who has used a S60 phone will know that this is not usually the case. Menu navigation is quick and snappy, and the D-Pad is easy to use. I've installed quite a few apps and I will talk about that in a separate post.

To get straight to the point, the Nokia N82 is a damn fine phone. Very often with a new phone you will find little niggles, something that doesn't work as well as you would expect, or something missing that would have seemed a logical inclusion. It's still early days, but so far the N82 is proving to be a reliable top notch handset.

It's been a while since I've been so impressed with a phone, straight from the off. There have been no freezes, no memory errors, no glitches. The N82 is that good that I don't want to go back to using my N73. And trust me it takes a damn good handset for that to happen.

gsm technology is good
edge technology is good
hsdpa technology is good

still a good phone if you want gps & wlan..(probably the best gps/wlan phone)

ps.. i think the video quality is slighty better then my k850...(both records in 30 fps..but N82 is still slightly better)
