Hi...in some of the older user reviews that I have read, I find people complaining about the battery life, which kind of contradicts one of the purposes served by the OLED display, and I understand that battery life is user dependent, but shall be glad if someone could give their opinion on battery life.
In the recent posts theres a consensus about firmware upgrade, any news of Nokia heeding to this?

Hi every1! Does anyone knows what was better is it seC905 or n85.. Just a little cofused what should i gonna buy.. And is n85 has a photo and video editing? Hoping for your reply.. Thank you! Salamat!.

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2009why the cam. doest have xenon flash Its true that xenon flash is far better than led flash but, do you know that xenon flash is not easy to maintain?
If you're expecting a phone with xenon flash, it means you won't mind the size of the phone because it needs an electrolytic capacitor for operation, and this capacitor needs to be charged in order to produce the bright light.
Also Xenon flashes are very fragile, you'll need to prevent your phone from falling to the ground, because they get spoilt easily.
For the N82 users please keep your phone very well and when you're holding it please hold it firmly.

This is a great phone. But i'm still expecting the Nokia N97. It has a better battery life.
N85 is a good phone.
If you love it go for it but i don't like the size of its internal memory, its too poor for my liking.
I guess i'll give it up since i'm cool with My New N96 for now

I Have The China Made N85 And Believe Me There Is Nothing Wrog With My Phone In Any Of It's Built Quality Or Any Thing Else.
The Only Different Is That It's Made In China By The Authorization Of Nokia Company - Finland Written On The Box.
It's Neeeeed Firmware Update Cause It Hung In Music Player.
BUT It's a Very Gooood Phone, All In One, Great Display, Awsome Sound Quality, Gooood Battry Life
Goood Camera.

N79 is obviously better then n85
because:
the display of n85 is amoled..it easily gets destroyed when water falls on it..and the oled displays have limited lifetime..
the advantages of n85 over n79 are just usb charging, little more talk time and larger display..
tha advantage of n79 over n85 is its price is lower than n85 and display doesnt get spoiled easily

I love this phone, i say it over and over again. Needs a firmware upgrade most definitely and soon.

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2009can a non-american version of N85 be used in america?yes it can, you just won't be able to use 3g or 3.5g in North America which kind of sucks. You will however be able to use edge, but that's very slow by today's standards.

Hey pals!!!!Could anyone tell me which one is better to buy Sony ericson,s C905 or N85, both almost have same cost but I am lil bit confused since C905 has better features....I myself prefer nokia still I wud like to have your opinion...Thanks

really as you have said the perfect N79 is the first and the wise choice (the only one of the new n series phones which is made in Finland not china) then the perfect superb N82 and the last to decide to buy is 5800xpress because of it's low volume sound problems through headphones but it has a large touch display , better modern firmware and a long life battery.

i myself own n85, good phone but please avoid made in china please i am very damn serious
all are good phones n96,n85,n79,5800,n82
really theres a damn lot of difference in made in china & hungary or finland makes
also make sure the firmware software version is updated
i will tell u which to buy
n96 - high end rich features,poorest battery
n79 - perfect all round phone in good price
5800 - very good battery,nice touch screen,sound
n82 - superb phone best camera
n85 - good but needs a firmware update as hangs
buy between n79,n82,5800
or n96,n85
wisest choice n79,n82,5800
