how long will it work, is it true that the OLED displays are usable for only 14,000 hours, and no secret that Water will easily damage it.

nokia n85 just as good if not better than n95 8gb in every way, except speakers are not as loud. oled screen is amazing, slider feels solid with good reaction, faster processor, camera quality is the same, battery last longer, and way slimmer than n95, n85-3 comes with updated software (11.047) no problems at all. i think a lot of bad reviews are coming from the n85-1 euro versions. i would highly recommend this phone over any n-series phone.

I have nokia 6270 and its about 1.5 years old. It is a high end high cost mobile from nokia. I and my many friends trusted and bought several nokia costly sets. But after the warranty is over it started giving problem....And when i took it to nokia care, they said [bit can not be repaired[/b], they even did not see what was the problem. Then i took it to another nokia care, and this time they just touched it and told it can't be repaired..... Friends do not buy nokia high end mobile phones because the[b after sells service of nokia is the worst ever[/b].i and my friends are suffering so i thought that i should post my bitter experience to all.....Once your warranty is over your costly set will start giving problem and if it is then its gone because nokia's high end mobile life time is just the warranty period they provide. Most customers are facing this problem.....Friends be alert and please do not buy nokia....

the OLED Display
Lifetime - While red and green OLED films have longer lifetimes (46,000 to 230,000 hours), blue organics has shorter lifetimes (up to around 14,000 hours)
and Water can easily damage OLEDs.
The display will only be cool for an Year. thats all.

Hi..guys..,i have N79 ,N95 and N85 i had used all of them for 3 weeks till now and surprisingly i'm more satisfied with the features and performance of N79 cool small light and really smart no problems or hangs like the two others.

To clear things up, N85 is not better than N96 in everything. N85 maybe better when it comes to size, build, screen and price. But N96 is a lot better when it comes to sound quality both via headset and speakers. N96 also has better video playback quality. So if you're after a device that literally replaces a dedicated music and DVD player, N96 is the best choice. N85 on the other hand, is a good device but it has no specialization. I recommend that you get N79 instead of N85. They have exactly the same features but N79 is so much more affordable.

There's ntng to argue The n85 is better than N96, and the N95
but is the N85 usable as the N95
for how long can we use it without any problems?
most people say that its made from cheep plastic, an the slider shakes a lot.
so if i bought the n85, will i be able to use it for at least three years,

N85 is one of the best phones I have used. It comes with great features, and has a good battery life. Its compact size and its looks are just awesome.

I recently bought Nokia N85 the sound is very worse, My previous N73 was much better. sometimes while playing video it restarts and every morning i switch it on the date and clock will go wrong, it goes a week ahead to 02-03/01/2009. while know it is 27/12/2008.
this is a very annoying thing.
anyone have the same problem???

The biggest difference between Chinese and Finish made is cost of production and end quality.
If you buy original its price should be half,this margin should be transferred to customer, but instead of reduction it is agzorbitant.
This is why you expect a sacrifice n price, the quality everybody knows is just average which can be clearly seen n E50 later made n china. I gurantee from finish to performance vividly felt.
