This is the coolest all-in-one device right now out there for its pricetag!
Consider these: it's a phone, a compact camera, a computer, a radio, a navigator and map, a photo-album, an MP3 jukebox, a web server(!) and browser, a game-pad with TV-out and the list goes on.
It's silent, small, low energy consumer and it's always on!
Together with an exteral bluetooth keyboard it's a full replacement for home PC for my elderly parents!!
I won't spend a dime on renewing depreciated desktop PC for parents any longer now that this device came to light. :-))

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Nokia strikes back! Good camera + smart phone + everything else.

Sony Ericsson = just the camera + nothing else.

Samsung - for the elegant and the executive

Sony Ericsson - for the popular and the glamorous

Nokia - for the greater majority, the masses, the 'not so special' people (except the 88xx series)

Motorola - for the undecided of what they really want

Apple - for the brand concious, the fashion icons and hollywood stars

O2 - for the businessman... or the trying hard - the social climber

Blackberry - the unique, the mysterious, a weird taste...

Vertu - finally, for the richest and the wealthiest

The N96 will be released in a couple of months time and it will be a lot expensive than this phone. basically the N96 and the N85 is the same phone apart the N96 has a tv broadcast receiver and a larger internal memory. what i like to know is, who here would pay more for the N96 other than buying the Nokia N85?

Well we can all forget about the design. It almost looks like a twin to the N81.

The features really thrill me. I knew Nokia's cooking with something like this.
N85 and N79 are truly good buys.
What I'd like to know is that if these two phones have good sounding, loud stereo speakers. (I'm pretty sure they do, but I want to know the facts.) A good multimedia phone should have stereo speakers. N78 let me down since its' speakers sound very soft, I tried one demo unit in Nokia Store in SM Megamall. I currently use a 5700 and I need to get a good upgrade.
What I look for in my next phone are these:
                                        -5 MP AF camera
                                        -Accelerometer
                                        -WLAN
-3.5mm Audio port for stereo jack
                                        -bigger storage capacity

                                        and a whole lot more!
                                        Keep me updated, folks! :)
