teddy budha, 27 Aug 2008what is the different among N85, N95 8GB and N96 except in ... moreN85 has longer battery life than the other 2, and N96 has this technology that allows you to watch television on it, don't know if there are any other differences.

N85 is expected to be cheaper than N96, by the way.

I think it's so much better than N96, take a look at the battery lives ;), it does even last longer than N95.

I'm really looking forward to buy this phone. :)

Anonymous, 26 Aug 2008well...all i can say that the build quality is better then ... moreHow the hell do you know if it has better build quality and sound than the n81? Please don't talk rubbish as there are no reviews to prove any sound quality tests. In fact the other guy is probably right about the build quality as i saw live photos of n85 and there was light leakage all around the edges in the dark. So the guy is talking sense and it is a known problem in n81 also along with creeking , pull off keys etc.

it's less likely that n85 and n79 will have the freescale 369mhz cpu because that cpu CANNOT produce a video recording capability of 30fps. i think these 2 phones got the tiomap processor of n95/n82. n85 is the successor of n81 not of n95.
n85 and n96 may be similar in many terms but are positioned at different market niche so i think they will have their customers who'll be buying them.

Not quite sure how Nokia are going to survive in the future. I have had nokias for the past 8 years or so, they just don't develop enough, every phone they make is very similar just in a different casing. This to the N96... Honestly how can they relase these phones being their High end handsets when other companies are bringing out far more advanced handsets.

I'm struggling to find anything significantly different from the n96... all I can see is that this has significantly less memory and it's slightly smaller and heavier. Other than that they look the same, act the same and will most likely be priced about the same... get an N96 if you want a good Nokia *shrugs*

"an estimated retail price of 450 euro (660 US dollars) before taxes or subsides."

How much do you think it will cost with a contract?
