near enough a perfect mobile, why not perfect ? I like clamshells thats why and as things go in circles they must be making a come back soon and please no n76 disasters.. I got a htc touch pro but am glad to be back with nokia symbian and N85 model

The n85 is superb and have noticed the keypad light fault now and again,it can be fixed in update,however only if nokia become aware of it . Where do i email.? Nokia or a service center to raise the point of the bug..

I took this on day out to a remote control fair..Firstly i thought the battery would not last the day but after taking vids and fotos at full res lasted me all the way home,,my n95 wouldnt have..Secondly the vids and pics looked very good thru av cables to tele,,Thirdly i am suprised by how small it is and wat it can do.. The n85 so far is the best most stable symbian smartphone ive had..one more point the screen in outdoor light is as good as the next but dont expect miracles.

FYI if your planning to buy N85: I got my N85 back yesterday from Nokia Repair Center, after 10 business days! They couldnt fix the earpiece problem, so they gave me a brand new N85! No earpiece problem on this one...so far. Many people are having this problem. Also, another common problem is the backlite to the number keypad doesnt always work, no matter what buttons you press or how you slide it. Both of my N85's have the same problem. The dual speakers are low quality sounding compared to other cell phones like my SE K850i, and SE G900, and W990. Besides those 2 quirks, i love my N85.

@sam this is well known in symbian fones that if contacts are stored on fone or sim only the number comes up,,its the only answer that all contacts must be in sim OR phone and not both..Check either you only have contacts in sim or fone..Then reeboot fone..Cannot understand if its not working for you..MAKE SURE you have your contacts backed up in case you delete both from phone and sim accidently..

i didnt like the speakers.....
sucks totally man......
the sound output is not high either......
not worth 23 K at all......i might as well go in for a samsung.

Hi all, i have just bought a new N85 and love it, however i am having a problem with when recieving text messages it comes up with the number who sent it but not the name, although the numbers are saved both on sim and phone, so unless i know the persos phone number i don't know whos texting me! i have taken it to the store and no one there seems to be able to help! does anyone know how to fix this so i can see who is texting me!!! please???

@Brynn,have you watched travel video in real player u were on about? Its like watching in HD..thanx for that i would not have found them otherwise..

I have not got the stereo widening on yet the separation between the left and right earphones is quite dramatic on some mp3s ..I think its called stereo separation and its top notch in n85..Its an excellent tiny but powerfull smartfone

On my n82 there was an icon named memory and in there was where i did a phone back up to the mem card,,cannot find it in n85? Can anyone help..thanks
