i got the white one not into the black !
the battery in the first days was disappointing last only for a day ! but after 5 or 6 complete recharge cycles last for one and a half two maximum ;)) thats nice
BUT
after switching off the e-mail appl. the battery stays so much longer :)) the e-mail app was opening the 3G signal all time ruining my battery
about the N80 was best fone i had amazin screen resolution but as u said worst battery ever made last 12 hours i think :D
N82 was a master piece too really i miss .. but been too long with me 2 years time to change :D
N86-white is really really elegant luxury amazin device ! i luv it
and am in luv with the REAL DIGITAL ZOOM feature wooooooowwwww

the guy s... moreIliked n80 except for battery and cam could have done with auto-focus and smoother video,,,the n80 was fantastic and excited wen i got it mainly due to screen resolution..Back then it had everything and i got it in black sim free..The only regret about n-series is i have never heard the n91 in action and everyone says it was the best music ever made..At the time it was a premium device and did not want to pay that much for a mobile..I have been with symbian since 3650 and still here..Glad you said about what i put tho cause cause most of the latest n-series are somewat buugy where the older fones are more stable now..
My n86 has facebook app under apps but you can do all your re-arranging of folders to get at it dead easy..Cannot make any comment about device yet cause on first charge but this weekend will change that..

Firstly thanks again to sea-breeze, brynn for ur advice..
Actually the thing is that my N73 ME has been very old now and recently its screen got broken.. So rather than getting the screen changed, i thought i'd change it to new phone.. Moreover, i think the wifi is something i'd like ..
So can anyone please confirm about the facebook application..? and moreover any final verdicts with all the pros and cons.. i really appreciate all the help..

the guy says the cam doesn't matter ! so i think what i can get with extra money i pay
wifi mmm... Oled screen ONLY right cuz other things as 3.5 jack the n73 got an adaptor tv-out the guy isn't into media
so ngage little faster over all device .... nothing else !
the improvemnts nokia puttin in N-Seriees theese days
camera -- touch screen and thats all !
if not for the camera i would stayed with my old perfect N82 forever :D

I think i shud perhaps buy n86 bcos it fulfills almost all my needs.. just a few more things if anyone could clarify..
1. Is there facebook application in the phone..?
2. Has the latest firmware helped in improving the device and what is the firmware latest..?

It arrived today next door neighbour took it in,,Got it up dated right away after it said on screen it had v10 on it..Did it over wi-fi just entered my passkey and it took 6 seconds to download but then it warns you to back up data and NOT use the fone whilst updating,,typical usual instructions then it took about 7 minutes to complete the rest of update..An on screen note said the fone now containd ovi store and map over the picture of a compass..Next screen says phone update complete with a note asking you to accept conditions to get free usefull tips from nokia..
On charge now for 16hrs but may tinker with it a bit..Carfone say give it 16hr first charge only but you can use it whilst on charge..
First impressions are its solidly built and not heavy at all..Screen is glorious in colour which i expected having had n85..At first the battery cover is hard to get off because of you dont want to break it but once you find how its fixed to fone using tabs all is ok..When i tried dummy model i was concerned about d-pad it felt like it would be difficult to press down correctly but there is no problems at all and just carried on with it and forgot about d-pad cause it all worked fine..Now its all go now having not had a nokis s60 for a few months it was n96 and collecting all my themes,,aps and get all the folders re-arranged to my likeing..Will say more over the days,,its nicer than i expected..

i bought this phone 1 month back i am about to buy w995i but went to n86 nice picture quality good phone i got this phone for 24k worth paye tv output very good i prefer this phone grate mob

I am just tired to read the different opinions... moreYou must go 4 n86 bcoz its symbian.N u already used d symbian N73 hence java phones like SE 995 etc seems to b childs play.U cant use many applications on java phones.N d speed of n86 is much more than n73 n even n79(im using it hs 369 mhz cpu n in n86 434mhz) music quality realy u can feel it better.

Hello guys.. I am just tired to read the different opinions of the users of the N86. I want to buy this phone but some people say tht it is full of problems.
I previously owned N73 ME which for me was very satisfactory. Now looking to change it. SO can anyone please tell me if i shud buy this phone or not..?
PS: While u advice, I am not soo concerned with the camera, i mean a decent camera is fine for me.. The music player and speed of the phone should be nice.. I would also like to knw if it has Facebook application on it..?
I'd really really appreciate ur help..
