Dr. Bidhan, 17 Sep 2010Hi rakesh u r rt.i hv bn also using N86 since 16 Nov 09,bt... morethe major flaw is when nokia is running symbian..it isnt smart because symbian has nth...the camera thou give crisp clear picture u just can shut the shutter sound...imagine being in a peaceful cafe trying to take some picture and the noise goes as loud as ur phone could ring...or trying to take some natural pic which would be totally 0disrupted by the noise...its just depend on what everyone nids~just my view is these are the flaws even went there are no flaws

I super love this phone and strongly recommend it ;) , too bad mine fell in the toilet. waaa :(

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2010i have had a good experience with my n85 so i bought my n86... moreYour comments true this seems the last decent button smartfone,,all we have is n82 both n95 and a few other n-series to rebuy like ive done.Thats why people held onto n958gb for years and years they could not find any upgrade.I hoped something would come out of nokia world but NO just touchscreen poo.
I have just bought an n86 white and have a black n86 an e72 and sammy wave,plus lots of other fones but even if all of us won the lottery what can us n95 ,n82 type people upgrade 2???

J, 15 Sep 2010I thought so! Compare it with same type keypad phones (i... morei think n95 8g is superior..it have only 5MPx, but makes exactly the same photos. I like the display of n95...bigger, and the graphic accelerator is a big plus!. I have remote control for my audio system and TV. I think N95 8gb is the most equilibrate model from non-touchscreen N class.

Don't buy a handset from MADE BY NOKIA(made in china). They are totally foul. Their performence is the worst. I bought a nokia handset (made in finland) about 2 years ago. It is still running with good condition. But two months ago i along with 3 friends buy 4 N86 8MP (made in china) handset. But alas! all of those handsets had to send Nokia Care for repairing. Still these handsets occur problems. So guys try to buy a device from nokia that is made in finland, hungry, germany. They are really owesome...

i have had a good experience with my n85 so i bought my n86 on the end of 2009 but i cant really feel any upgrade or any better things in my n86.....it makes me feel so bored and sad.....

cloud, 15 Sep 2010in my single n86 i had all the problem i think single probl... moreThe fm transmitter uses the back cover,you can see the gold dot that connects n86 to back cover where fm transmitter aerial is..n86 does get warm now to mssges
i go to messages --options--settings--othersave sent messages (yes)--number of saved messages(999)--memory in use--E mass memory.
After this it will say copy all messages to to new memory-yes.

well i wont ever recommend thid phone to anybody..!! I have got the prob that whenevr only 3 lines of battery r remainin n if some1 calls me or i call somebody battery automatically shows msg battery low. n mob switches off in a while...!!!!

I guess you have bad products, everything looks bad, You should claim your product warranty.

eset to make it work 1 more time..the photo setting thing is a problem of the software and nokia deny of this ask me to get my own repair...the overheating thing can happen even when i leave it aside with no apps or anything on ,unless u conrider the clock on the phone is something u could turn off? About the messaging problem, u mention was my storage full?well wif 8gb i have only used 1gb so that leaves me with? And i never ever leaves any apps on after using it...the lag and hang comes from the hardware problem...again nokia deny it and wouldnt fix it for me even with valid warranty... I appreciate ur respond but plz understands it first before u respond...supporting something without analysing is pointless

Compare it with same type keypad phones (i'm not talking about Touchscreen & qwerty phones)! I felt not really handy using touchscreen & qwerty phones.
So far N86 still superior in design, features, and specs that ever made. If you get the better one, good luck to you...
That's only my PERSONAL opinion!
Although this product already discontinued, i felt lucky having this phone. It's really hard to get now.
About tomorrow, let's see about that!

connections when not in use, this can save more energy and RAM usage.
Check your Phone Memory, is it full or not? Full Phone Memory may cause Lags/Slow performance.
- No such troubles with FM Transmitter. Why? Turn off if not using it!
- During extended operation such as an active video call
and high speed data connection, the device may feel
warm. In most cases, this condition is normal. If you
suspect the device is not working properly, take it to the
nearest authorised service facility.
- Photo Gallery : Check your Powersaver/Screensaver Setting? (Settings >
General > Personalisation > Themes> Powersaver), This is possibble,that you already activated Slideshow images.
- Messagings : That's Only Your Opinions. I'm using the Mass Storage to give more space to Phone Memory (in some case if your Phone Memory full will be able to cause your phone slow)

in my single n86 i had all the problem i think single problem tat have been raised here
-the laggy is an obvious thing and something it jus hang there. this is the first i use which have such a stupid problem
-next is the radio-transmitter. thought it is not vital or terminal but having this problem is really a problem because the solution is to factory restore all ur thing including ur profile and interface.
-is also has occassional overheating especially during and after long usage of internet(whether by 3g or wifi), there this time whr my phone battery is drained in 3hours after fully-charged so bttry life good?
-the photo gallery always pop up when i leave it at the home screen and this often cause problem revealing my intimate photos
-i couldn't use other storage rather than the phone memory to keep my msg because storage on all other memory will cause about a great lag.
-there's still many flaws tat i couldn't mention all at ago so to conclude it, dun buy this phone honestly

Guys, i got answers from nokia about n86's availability in india. It is still available but the catch is you have to find the lucky(unlucky!?) dealer who still have it in their stock! I got mine after searching for 4 days...
