A Solid n Smart phone...much more better design n look den its previous model n85..those prefer slide phone and want something all function in,this is the one not to be missed. battery life ok,external speakers not bad,design good only the battery cover part if uses a stainless back cover will be perfect..imo

Battery will drain too fast while using gps or wifi. As both are major power consumer. Also if you can manage go for power saving mode, with black theme. It will reduce power consumption by ~2 times. In my case white theme uses ~0.7 watt power while black with power saving mode consumes just 0.1-0.2 watt power.
If you listen to music, use your headphones instead of loudspeaker. It will consume ~4 times less power even at full volume.
Also check for unnecessary applications running in background using some task manager like Jbaktaskman.
My battery easily gives backup of 2 days with black theme, power saving mode enabled, very less or no wifi/gps use, some music over headphones and with normal calling.

50mb RAM is quite sufficient for normal use. U may feel it to be less when you go for heavy sites in webbrowser, or do some sort of video editing along with many apps running in background.
I prefer FOTA since its very small in size, as it covers only changes and not whole firmware. So this method requires less time while updating.
yeah v30.009 is latest version.
What you heard was wrong. FM transmitter can be used with this version too. Some may be having problem, but thats not in general. Mine fm trans working fine, although i sometimes feel its range being less compared to previous version.

Hi, i had bought this phone yesterday! This phone is really hard to get now in my city...
This phone RAM only about 50 MB free...
Mine is N86-1 Indigo, still not updating it!
Which one one do you prefer to update your phone, NSU or FOTA?
BTW, What's latest Custom Version v30.009?
I heard that this version, the FM Transmitter can't be used, is that true?

Whenever you wanna tv out..you can first restart the mobile and connect it..i think it'll be solved if you do so..
Moreover convert the videos by cropping them to 640x480 resolution its optimal for mobile and tv viewing..

Drawbacks:
*If you text more messages per day..this is not so suitable coz everytime you've to slide in and out..so not for excessive texting..
*the slider becomes bit wobble just after 2 weeks of usage..and somewhat scratches on the back of slider due to the skid
*dust comes into the screen very often even if you use the leather case provided very well..it will annoy so much if dust comes in just in a short period of time..
*new version (30.009) produces bit lag pics when compared to V20. so you've to wait for the next firmware
plus points:
*hardened glass will be loved by every user coz no scratches on top :-)
*very nice pattern of keyboard..very comfortable for texting..
*battery cover is also so nicely designed as it does not attract messy finger prints..
*flexible OS as it has many softwares available..
*display is damn good as the colors are so natural when compared to 97mini, 95 8gb, 85 i've seen the difference from a blog

Mine also performs like that..
You'll get stammering videos through mobile while the picture will be clear from the tv..
But the pics, they look blurred and takes more time to sharpen to actual visual..
Hope nokia will get it cleared in the next update..

celladik if you have read the pixon's review here on gsm arena you would have seen that the pixon is only advertised as 28 mm wide angle but its not actualy so wide.its wider than a normal camera but not as wide as this one.

Jun.i hadd the problem with the restarting when reciving a messege.i went to nokia care and they reinstaled the software and told me that the problem apeared because i updated my software from theyr webpage and that last update has that problem.so for everyone: if you want to update the sofwere from nokia's site via ovi suite dont do it at least not yet until next version.

It last with average use for about 2 days max. with settings all on low bat consumption setting like low screen light etc... It charges for 1-2hrs. Depends really on how ur battery is drained... Its a nice phone to have compact, a little heavy but sturdy, slide mechanism are working awesome. But i think this phone is not for me so im planning to buy a new one... hope this helped
