I saw the N9 available on contract in the UK this week on chitterchatter.co.uk for £21 per month

I went to two Nokia stores on Saturday to buy this phone but the guys there said it's not available,that's really sad i badly wanted to buy this phone,they had the Lumias but not this one and i'm not at all interested in Lumias after hearing so many negative reviews.

This is still the best phone I ever had. Multi tasking is at the heart of this phone. It is very smooth to switch between apps. The notification page is great. I haven't seen this elsewhere. The screen saver is also unique. You don't need any action to know time, if you received mail, calls, if you have an appointment or a new software update. This only drawback is the speaker phone which is not loud enough. The N9 is still in the race even it is not the fastest one.

So, whatsapp uses its resources to block it rather using the community resources to build a MeeGo version of whatsapp. So, we will see problems in future as well but I hope community will keep on resolving this for us.
About the battery a detailed answer by a friend is already posted. I hope it will work for you too.

I get 2+ days battery life using following settings:
- Battery: PSM
- Network: GSM
- Allow background connections: OFF (unless using NAV)
- Bluetooth: OFF (unless talking)
- Delete unused WiFi SSIDs in your location
- Rest phone on face when not using for extended period (clock light goes off)
- Charge battery nightly, but run down to zero once every 2 or 3 weeks. Lithium batteries like to be topped off, but fully extended occasionally.

I will work on in this weekend, there is plenty of info on that site for this particular problem so hopefully I will be able to resolve it in the next few days. However, wanted to ask, if there is anything I can do to enhance my battery. I love Nokia phone's batteries, they are the best among competition but honestly N9's battery kinda disappointed and lately it has gone out of control. 12 hours is all I get, and that only on facebook every now and then, and 2-4 calls. that is it. still the battery finishes. and this also on power saving mode. i have to charge the phone twice every single day and that is frustrating since i sold N8 as well so i dont' even have a backup with me. any tips?

It's fairly short on apps, though most of the important stuff is there - Whatsapp is provided through Wazapp, for example (some features don't work, they're working on it). Most of the apps for the N9 seem to be utilities, so that side's well covered. There aren't a huge amount of games overall, and those there are are usually small indie games, if pretty good ones IMO.
