I guess the silicon case caused this scars cause the corner portions are bit hard.

AnonD-44456, 20 Mar 2012and the last two in N series I guess...Definitely not last! In Nokia documents it is NOT stated N9 is last but it is to collect experiences and ideas in long term perispective - this means this is not last. N9 outsels Lumias 4 to 1 in units - they can count, so would be "unwise" if not to use it IMHO. And there is Meltemi which is light-Harmattan MeeGo and it was confirmed recently. I'd like to have simple phone with simplified MeeGo, preferably dual sim. So, not last, this is improbable.

N9 is single core but MeeGo linux can use it more efevtively then Galaxy 2. I see N9's SUPER BLACK AMOLED with Gorrilla Glass more responsive and easier to operate then both iPhone and Galaxy, used all but N9 is best of all. Try first and only then start trolling please.

Brian, 20 Mar 2012is this shock proof? or can this be use when you jog?I jog with my Nokia N9 in pocket, and wireless headphones, so I am not limited by wire. Very comfortable, good sound. Body is made of polycarbonate so very durable, I think it is "shockproof" for my jogging enough. Display is with Gorilla Glass so coins and keys in the same pocket have not scratched it since 4 months already. It also has felt down accidentaly and survived. But I would not use N9 instead of a hammer. Solid, durable, normal shockproof (jogging, bicycle or horse riding) at lost for me. Protected display is great, at last screen looks new even after hard times of heavy duty using. I assume the answer should be - yes.

Brian, 20 Mar 2012is this shock proof? or can this be use when you jog? This depence what you mean "shock proof"? Unibody is made od polycarbonate, the material from which bulletproof clothes are made. It can be scratched but will not break when fall, more porbably you can break dusplay. I have seen test when car rided N9 and body was as before but display was broken. Dispaly is covered by Gorilla Glass so coins or keys in pockt can't sratch it. After several month in my pocket display is without any scratch. Jogging. I jog with my N9, also riding bike and horse - no problem with shaking untill now. N9 hardware allow you to use wireless headphones, so movements are not limited by any wires - very comfortable. When you take good headset you will have cristalpure sound even dolby stereo, so from this point this is true pleasure. Wireless mean you can have N9 in closed pocket to prevent accidents. N9 has got rubber protector and I use it, against accidents. I think there is no problem when do sports with N9, of course those which allows - basketball would be ehemmm... you know what I mean ;)

AnonD-44456, 19 Mar 2012Thanks eagle5 and anonymous for the response. I want to as... moreHard to compare those two, especialy when 808 is the prototype still. 808 seems to be focused on the best camera ever hence photos - if this is your priority this is the choice. I don't know how the rest - I think this will be similar to N8 as 808 will be Symbian also - so also good stuff. N9 does anything that can be done at FB and social networking including FB or YT are integrated to the phone extreamly thanks to MeeGo stuff, so you receive FB notification in the same way, at the same place as other notifications or texts (SMS) on separate notifications screen. There are 3 home screens: (1) notifications (anything user is to be notified appears ther together: mails, texts (SMSs), missed calls, callendar notifications, FB chat, FB notifications, etc etc notifications - all and everything in one simple place, so you will not miss anything important - this is extreamly more comfortable than any other mobile solutions aviable now (2) aplications - so simply list of aplications you can choose from installed: FB, YT, Google calendars, Talk, gmails etcetc, video talk, also preinstalled by manufacturer soft like some games and installed by user (tons of software - I have found everything I needed, only Whatsapp is yet as beta not full) You can also use hudge linux soft library - I for example use Miranda communicator which allows me to use Skype, Jabber, Yahoo messengers in one multicommunicator software, so I am independent from silly ideas I don't like but still I can fully use thsose communicators and I am reachable for others when I want. There is plenty of MeeGo soft in Nokia Store and independent sites, most are free but happens also paid - ususally if sth is paid in other platforms like Android or Symbian then in the same way it can be paid at Nokia N9 so MeeGo, just business as ususall. But you can run at N9 full Linux desktop (especially using INCEPTION software) and then N9 perform like full desktop computer, of course dimmensions of display are limitations. From this point this is small tablet, and 808 will never be able to do the same. So you can use MeeGo linux which is preinstalled but you also can use other linuxes like Debian, Ubuntu or Gentoo etc. You can also install at phone directly software which use files *.DEB - cames from debian, in oposite to *.RPM files. When hardware compatibility is not an issue then it run smoothly (similar situation like when installing a game and this game require a specific video card - when you dont have it in your hardware then you have hardware compatibility problem). This allows to use Linux software library which far far bigger then all Android software combined together including games, editors, utilities, tools and so on, etc etc. But this can require a bit of familiarity with Linux, but at the same level as Windows requires familiarity. (3) third screen is multitasking or opened applications. You can have opened aplications, hide them without closing so they are running in background, and to do whatever you want else. Eg. you can watch a movie, swipe it to pick up the call, swipe call to check contact and tell it to callers or answer a question looking via FireFox to wikipedia, and during talking to call make a message to FB or send video to Youtube. Meanwhile you can switch between used applications at this screen, also close unneded soft or open another. This is called sometimes multitasking screen, and MeeGo is the most comfortable and easy and userfriendly solution nowadays IMHO. And I think will be still the best for quite a long time. N9 is loved by many users, however some dont like it, but those who love it create a big and growing community. As this is open source there are many smartas and geeks who allows this phone has still the same hardware but again and again something new in software appears, making this phone like a new one again and again. This makes this stuff is still new. Untill now there were 4 firmaware upgreades (the 1 was for developers, so for common users 3) in total. And this made it is much better then at the begining. What is more important you can reaceive this updates free. Those who says "dead system without any future" are totaly mistaken and don't know what they are talking about. You also have navigation for walking and for driving with free updates,a nd maps are one of bests in the world. There is City scene soft which is better then Google Street view. And so on, and so on. Last but not least hardware is the top of art. btw. better then any Lumia. It has FM radio, but you need to install soft for radio (some say N9 don't have FM radio which is false). Linux system allows you to open TOGETHER in the same time many applications. I have opened 24, including browser, player, editor and some simpler, and only opening 25 application made a slight slowdown. Note: 25! Normally I never use more then 4-9 applications together with N9 and it works fluently. This is Linux MeeGo power. At Android that was imposible, with MeeGo and N9 it is quite easy and comfortable. So for me: the software aviable, MeeGo linux the system which is better and better polished, growing community, developers porting more and more software for MeeGo, compatibility wtih ANY social networking like FB YT and many others, fantastic internet acces and conctivity, always in range, rock-like solid materials used for manufacturing (made in Finland, and finnish approach to ecology and law there make this is best phone for any ppl with alergy or carrying for skin etc), perfect manufacturing and construction - this are arguments for which I have choosen the Nokia N9 as my phone for nearest years. I agree and confirm opininon that this is the best Nokia phone from many years, 5 or even 10. And I know even now, that next my phone will be Nokia N9 succesor. Previously I used iPhone and Galaxy. My opinion as user, lazy one, looking for comfort, simplicity in using but also looking for mobile I can rely on 100% - is such: Nokia N9 is better then any iPhon or Android mobile. Windows phones are masohistic toys - I have tried recently, and put it back to where I have bought it - never again, I am freee man and will never be a slave to any windows phone and never any phone will decide what I want, mobile is my servant, byt Windows want to be my master- that was ridiculous ;D You can choose what you prefere. By own experience I prefere Nokia N9.
