            my thoughts about the N9.

hardware as compared to other brands: unique, simple, elegant & durable. Does any phone have these specs (except lumia 800): 2.5 D curve gorilla glass, polycarbonate unibody & 8 MP carl zeiss - tessar optics (except N86) & dual led flash (as compared to some recent phones except for HTC). It's not cheap right. correct me if Im wrong. peace.

software: the only meego-harmattan phone, could do almost anything with 1 Ghz processor, though some apps are lacking, but these could be made soon. For me, the interface is so organized & practical. Take note that the OS is still young but it develops further through the support of N9/N950 developers & community. N950's purpose is to enhance more the capability & usability of the OS. it really does its job, look at the upcoming updates.

1 ghz processor: this doesn't matter because of the OS. you will think its slow. no..other phones have dual cores or more because its a requirement to
run their OS to the point of usability not necessarily to speed it up. though i admit higher core specs makes other OS speedy than the N9. But its very power hungry, which means a phone needs a higher battery capacity (like razr max) or a spare one & sometimes it may heat up. Draining the battery for an extra speed is not practical. Let's be responsible in conserving energy. just my opinion. comments of all types are welcome. thanx.

N9 has radio receiver & transmitter...check about the N9 in the wikipedia site......you just need a radio software from my-meego.com........N9 is capable of almost everything....if one complains about the applications, its seem that apps are impossible to create....but its not...it needs time...N9(meego OS) is just less than a year old...so be patient....more things to come that will surprise us...

EpicBattle69, 24 Feb 2012no radio? The phone have been build with radio on board but there is no developer who build the software part of it in order to be used. Even though does iphone has one? No, and still there are people who buy it. So, you can live without it especially since internet radios.

question for user-lovers of this phone -
i m from India and planning to get it from UAE (64 GB Black version)
                                    1) what happens to local warranty?
                                    2) are software upgrades supported?
                                    3) how to port ICS on Nokia N9? is it possble to revert to Meego later?
                                    4) where to get the White version?
