stmlk, 10 Nov 2011why would anyone want to pay that much for a freakin MeeGo ... moreMaybe because some people like to make a statement. When you buy the N9, you pay not only the sum of its components (like you do with every other manufacturer's high-end device), but instead you snatch a sample of seamless and complementary hardware and software design.
That, and the fact that it runs Linux, which makes it the only full-blown mobile Linux PC (i.e. Linux, X.org, apt etc.) since 2009 when N900 was launched.
P.S. Nokia created Pure -> Google made Roboto
Nokia removed HW buttons -> Google replaced HW buttons with on-screen ones
Judge for yourself who's been doing UI innovations for the last year.

I was just wondering, Its good that N9 has limited apps. Just think, if you want an office app you search in apple app store and u get millions.. How confusing it would be and would waste much time exploring each app to find proper needs and functionality.. wheras in Meamo/Meego you get Limited full functionality apps like FreOffice and DocstoGo Premium.. How nice it is to save time for other things... Long Live Meego, Long Live N9...

Jame, 11 Nov 2011HI there. i heard the bad news of MeeGo OS.Pleas answer me... moredear mr james, although nokia(to b precise mr elop) said that n9 will b nokias last device on meego platform (as of today) the support for this phone will b there till atleast newt 2-3 updates of which 1st update is already in air. Besides there are very good number of "GOOD & USEFUL" apps available on nokia stores nd other sites like www.my-meego.com. Just google it nd download. What else is really required for a phone as SUPPORT? My say, JUST BUY IT...the time will come soon that nokia will be forced to rollout some more meego phones. Now its all in the hands of the real N9 lovers..
As of today i am using my n82 since last 2 years. Now there are no more updates available for this phone after v35. But still my phone is working fine.. I am now waiting for this beautyful beast to launch in india, (or else i will import). My money will go nowhere..just enjoy.. Cheers

N9 can only die when the Lovers of the beast leave it, but fortunately it wont happen. Who needs nokia to support it when these awsome developers and Meego Lovers live on.. Long Live Meego, Long Live The N9...

                        N9 is Immortal...

Nokia is the best for calls and internet access reliability. Most popular softwares are on Symbian, who needs all the apps on Iphones, most of it is rubbish.
