Angry Birds Running on the Nokia N9 - MeeGo Harmattan:
The bright colours of the game are presented well on the vivid 3.9” AMOLED screen and the multitasking abilities of the Nokia N9 can come in handy with gaming as well!!

This is not a review of the unit, just a quick walk through and this is still considered Beta software BUT it performs brilliantly. NOTHING Multitasks like this thing, NOTHING!!

Design - wise they have done it right this time. Looks classy and solid. The abscence of paint to be scratched is another thing many people have expected. If they put a good image sensor, the reduced resolution to 8 instead of 12 megapixels is going to only do good to camera performance in respect to noise. The placement of LEDs is like in a real camera.

Good phone and a lot of potential. I hope Nokia will use it right, support, and develop this platform further. They won't have another chance.
Back in December 2009 I've purchased N900. At that time Maemo 5 had unsurpassed web browser with full Flash support, excellent Skype integration with video (!) calls, and unrivaled multitasking capabilities. Other software was also promising.
However, instead of extending Maemo 5 potential, Nokia has limited it to a single product and decided to use Symbian for N8, flagship model of 2010. For that reason premium hardware of N8 was crippled with Symbian's (totally) unusable web browser.
To conclude, Nokia already had an in-house product which could compete with Android or iOS. They just failed to notice the potential of Maemo 5 and focus on updates and further development. This caused a lot of users to lose faith in company.
The N9 and Meego are now a big test for Nokia. This may be a last chance for Nokia to develop an original, in-house OS. Failure would lead to far-reaching consequences - shift from innovative to generic company.

Nokia has restored some of my faith in the company. This is a beautiful phone and the Meego OS looks to be as intuitive as iOS. No offense to Windows 7 but I dislike Windows. If only Nokia has chosen to develop Meego quickly as Symbian's successor instead of going forward with Symbian 3 or using Win 7. Clearly they already have the neccessary OS. They just need to create the neccessary alliances with app developers or better yet, instead of competing with their own App store (OVI store), inked an alliance with Google to get their Android APP market (Not the Android OS though). I am certain the NOKIA folks will still work magic with their battery life on the N9. They have always been able to maximise efficiency with NOKIA battery life.

It is really nice, but:
1. Can you switch the battery when you are on the move or must you charge it up when battery is emty?
2. I miss a slot for a hot swop (as in the Nokia E6) SDHC-card as it is much faster to transfer files than connecting by USB.
