Android...sucks

In a nutshell, when the malware detects that your banking app or e-mail client, for example, is running, it can launch an identically-looking pop-up app asking for your credentials. What makes things worse is that the execution of the pop-up app can happen so fast that the user would probably never realize what has happened until it is too late. The malware could even install itself as a service and run seamlessly in the background even after the phone is rebooted.

AnonD-1124, 08 Aug 2011point 1. The AMOLED CB display on the n9 is way better tha... moreThe N9 does have front facing camera. Its in the bottom right corner. Its a bit unusual to place the camera there but if you think about it, it does make sense. Because you are always holding the camera below the level of your, your eyes will be looking down all the time and look at the bottom of the screen. So the camera actually captures you looking straight into the screen, whereas if its placed on the top, the camera captures you looking down.
          Quite an innovation isn't it?

AnonD-14579, 07 Aug 2011I think the release date is a big mistake for Nokia N9. Are... morei think that releasing it just before the iphone 5 would be a good move as opposed to later, i mean the N8 which i am an owner of was released just after the iphon 4 which is what killed it, i mean software wise the N8 can not compeet with the iphone but hardware wise they were pretty similar, but the fact that the iphone hype was still rampant just after the n8 was released meant that people had already bough their iphones and the n8 was just another phone, i have always liked nokia and always owned nokia devices with the exception of a nexus one and i find that i love android and htc to bits but i think if nokia had polished and kept symbian up to date they would have been able to compete and i wish they did not drop meeGo because this is an OS they could really build on, they could even pull a blackberry since Meego is basically Linux and so is Android they could have worked it so that they got acces to android applications and compete that way, i have faith tought i think nokia will get back on their feet.

The N9 looks GREAT! it beats my Nokia N8 comparison between the 720p videos captured. the N9 win! the video quality is truly sharp! and the video frame rate was good! It is an amazing smartphone!

AnonD-17018, 08 Aug 2011sure sgs2 better than n9. speed, screen size or os also better. Screen size does not make a phone better. Screen size is depend on user preferences. Bigger hand maybe want bigger screen, and smaller hand might want smaller screen size. Anyway, SGS2 have better processor which is dual core, better screen which is Super Amoled Plus (even though not yet officially compared with N9 Amoled screen from Nokia) and etc. Nokia N9 hv better camera, new user interface which based on swipe(which is very brilliant idea) and others as well. Anyway, all those are just hardware specification and how it will translate into performance wise will depend on how well the OS going to use it. So N9 even with less power, it might perform well than SGS 2 in real world usage if the OS (Meego OS) is really efficient in using the resource it has. My advice, no need to praise either devices, just try to use it for a while and buy the one you feel better in serving you as user. Adios!!

If N9 was not the last MeeGo from Nokia ever, then I would consider it, but now it is just an interesting but irrelevant experiment that probably will get almost no support from Nokia and the users have to develop/finish it for themself adding Adobe Flash and FM-radio and...

smooth, plastic (polycarbonate= super high quality plastic), comfortable, exciting to look at and yet it still carries that impressive power through the intense AMOLED screen and sleek Smartphone form factor that has been adopted by pretty much every Smartphone making company.
This phone is made from a single piece of polycarbonate. This means that it can take a few bumps along the way and that without as many moving parts and separate pieces that make up the unit, consumers will be receiving a much less delicate phone which cancels out the ‘worry’ factor of scratches, shattering, melting, exploding and blowing your mind.
