amethyst, 23 Nov 2012hi saqib, i have this n9, and i have used it for 6 months b... morePersonally I didn't feel any difference. But surely I will ask some geeky friends what they think of it. And the Android thing now it can run 4.1.2 as well. It is safe if you do it with care. But its not fully functional. Like you cant make calls etc. And the sound difference I don't know that. Personally I like MeeGo over Android. Otherwise I would have switched to android long ago. One more thing you can do put this experience on Talk.maemo.org. There you will surely get a reply from people and if there is any solution to that someone must help you there.

AnonD-34077, 21 Nov 2012I am using N9 for more than a year without any pouch or scr... morehi saqib, i have this n9, and i have used it for 6 months before i upgraded it to PR 1.3, and i have noticed that it didnt get better on music, i just dont like the sound, coming out from the earphone to my ear, so therefore, i much like the sound on older version, than 1.3, now i have tried this FDB, and i have noticed that the sounds on music become great again same as PR 1.0, and now my question is, i have read this android ICS on n9, is it safe ans is it cool to have android on n9?which is better? the anroid or meego? and if you have tried this nitroid, does the music sounds great? because on PR1.3 the bass become less, thats why i dont like listening to it anymore, now with fdb, its great, if im going to do this dual boot, will have the chance to put it back to original settings? pls help

when i full charged and check the battery status ln 2G it shows talk time 7h 30m and standby 3 days / in 3G 4h 30m and standby 2 days. can i know why is that coz in n9 specs it shows as 11h talk time and more than that. can i know the reason for that? and also its in power saving mode. plz help me. thnx in advance

All I said was that Sailfish uses it, as does Nemo. Which they do. Yes, it uses the Linux kernel, and the two real ways of using it on a device are Sailfish and Nemo ATM. I don't know where you got the idea I was saying anything different.

Jolla Mobile has presented the Sailfish OS, commonly assumed to be MeeGo Harmattan successor. They also have opened the website JOLLA.COM where you can find livestreamed presentations of event and youtubeed also. At SAILFISHOS.ORG you can find details for devs, the SDK, how to contribute etc. As it was told during presentation: "SDK idea is to allow creating software commercial licensed and open source". It is Qt based. See for your own eyes and have fun! :)

See here: http://nerdsmagazine.com/wazapp-is-whatsapp-for-nokia-n900-and-n9/ And as I know there is also the oryginal Whatsup for N9 and N900 but community clone is reported to be much better. I don't know I don't use this one.

Actually these things are saved in another partition of N9's memory called EMMC. It will not be effected by any update. Again mind it, it will be safe if you are updating the device Over the air or via Nokia Software Updater.

Also I have asked some N9ers who are using it for a year or more, even they didn't feel this degrading signal issue. BTW I have China made 16GB variant. No signal issue at all...
