It's a fone with very limited functions. It is because very few softwares run on it. Even softwares in the phone appliation donot work on it. You install it says 'conflicting'.

If its just to make calls and text then i would go for the N97 but if you will use the n900 for what it can do then thats the one for you.I had the n97 before my n900 and i must say the n900 is in a diffrent class i also have a iphone 4 and that doesnt come anywhere near a n900..all you can do is have a look on youtube at the phones you can choose from and see which ones will suit you the best my friend..Regards

Upgrade need to have optical track pad, there may be no further detachment as posted in n9

hey guys, i need your opinion...i wanted 2 buy a phone but i cant decide to buy the nokia N900, nokia N97, and nokia N97 mini....which want is better?...i like the phone that slide and has like a keyboard features....
if there is a better phone than this 3 phone that i mention, please tell me...but make sure that that phone has the features that i like....thanks..

Is signed by design failures, most of them small usability issues, but there is so much small usability stuff that makes it worst than some few big ones.
If you intend to use it as a small, very small computer, is the ideal device, but as a phone is terrible, and as mp3 player or radio tuner, is a huge battery eater. Also, if you add only 1 widget (cpu/mem monitor or anything alike) it will reduce battery life DRASTICALLY!... From 10%/day, to 50%/day battery consumption (without phone or anything else usage).

Marshall , 15 Mar 2011Hi, While accessing Internet on my Nokia N900 I get a pr... moreif u had problem about cellular network..try replace another simcard..i have the same problem also on 1st time..i do some crazy thing..the last thing i do to try replace my another simcard then put it back..i work!! so..try it :) and if u had problem about update or download..try used wifi connection..that sure work also..anyway N900 is the best phone i had :)

Hi,
While accessing Internet on my Nokia N900 I get a prompt "Cellular Network Not available". I have used Sim cards of other service providers but still get this error message. Moreover, I am able to access Internet on a different Handset. In Past I was able to access net on my N 900 without any hassle.
To rectify this, I restored the factory settings quite a few times,downloaded an application AFPN using which I am able to create Network connection but still not able to access Internet.
Has anyone encountered this problem???
It seems that there is some issue with my Handset.
By formatting PH, can this problem be rectify. If yes, then upon formating will I loose all my files (I only have songs and pictures) or not.
Any help on this would be highly appreciated...

i cant update my maemo to the new firmware... its taking soooooo long to update 128mb is the download size and its taking 4 hours... the web browsing is fine only the update is slow... i do not want to flash it cuz this is my babe... if anything happens to it...
well plz any solutions?

n97,n8 is more better than n900,no fingerprint,to download dictionary is diffcult and very hard. no good features,n900 is only good in browsing.
