hello everyone, please i need your help on how to maximize the use of my N900 phone, and these are the following questions i'll be asking you guyz, is it possible to use whatsapp on it, and if possible how can i download it? how can upgrade to the most current version to function faster? i heard the phone can be converted to android is that possible too? please the question lingers on and on in my head but i need you guyz to com to my rescue because am actually getting tired of the phone already.

AnonD-90736, 20 Feb 2014I've had this for 4 years now and it's still a brilliant ph... moreyou are very true dude. i m also using it for about same duration. i switched my phone to cssu thumb os. current version is 9.1 . i can do everything with this what can be done with modern smart phones. i overclocked its processor, can be used as wifi hotspot also. the open media player is very amazing. Whatsapp(yapperi)is another application that i am using for last one year. Nothing to say about the default micro b brouser. its just a complete brouser.

I've had this for 4 years now and it's still a brilliant phone. I have to say the widescreen 3.5mp photo's are breathtaking with so much detail, no doubt the carl zeiss optics make a difference. Watching movies and listening to music is also very good as it has two very large speakers, unlike today's high end android phones which are too slim and as a reult give awful low sound. I have given this 10 all the way, it's a great phone.

If also had similar problems on my windows machines. There may be a solution to this for working in a windows environment.
But..i run Ubuntu. For all my nokia n900 needs and I've never had a problem since.
Ubuntu is a free debian based Linux similar to what the phone runs

Ps the Nokia n900 is still the best phone ever built

I tried to flash my device, I can able to run the co... moreI need urgent help, my mobile booting in raw image format.
I flash my mobile with winxp now, I can able to run the both commands
when I run the first command
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f
its ask suitable device not found waiting..
I plug my mobile holdin u key and it got detected and executed...
I run the second command without unplug or reboot my device
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2.004_PR_COMBINED_004_ARM -f -R(latest maemo 5 India release)
this command also starts executing but seeing

I tried to flash my device, I can able to run the command -flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f and its saying usb device not found waiting.
When I plug in the other end of the cable to pc.. while holding u button in my mobile still seeing the same above message(usb device not found waiting).
Im using windows7.
Please help on this ...

It can not support any modern day apps, it tries hard to run a GBA emulator and still struggles. If you want a phone that can support modern day applications that can be found on ISO app stores and Google Play... Don't get this phone.

All know N900 as internet tablet.. for browsing and customization N900 is the one.. 701 is good in battery back-up, camera, Music & Video playback.. N900 is a diff ship.. if u really like, then u can board in friend...
