You are probably hitting old URLs that's why you are encountering 404 error.
The recent link to download Operating System is:

For installation guide check this:

- Windows 7 flasher is provided.
- Flashing is a 2 step process
i) Vanilla Image ii) Combined Image
- Read guide carefully and follow each and every step
- Take backup before flashing
(recommend to take backup of only messages and notes calendars etc, don't take backup of settings and applications as when you restore the application some application that might be effecting your file-system issue installs again on restore.)
- Restore backup after flashing

When I try to find flash file seeing 404 not found in search page,

i have a problem with my n900 the problem is that i bought a phone from a friend of my,i now went to restore the factory sittings jst becouse i did not no the password he use for the phone sim code,if i put my sim it we not bring service an it we ask for sim code,plz wot can i do to change the sim password to work with my phone

nokia user, 20 Dec 2013Dosen't support software .Lol, are you sure the N900 doesn't support software? Then how can it run as a mobile Operating System that is comprises of code? Even a black and white calculator or digital watch you but for $3 have software in it.

Just make a backup and flash it and restore backup after that. You will loose nothing and things may start working freshly. Try it and come back with your findings. For more troubleshooting you can put query on Maemo website too wherein techie people would love to help you.

yep...I tried installing/uninstalling several apps,but I dont when & what is the exact cause....I have also plan to flash my mobile, but checking on some other apps like cleven, open connect also I unable to install any webos games, saying unable to unpack archive files...stil trying on it...
