I have been using this phone N900 for nearly 4 years now and it's a rock solid mobile computer. Period. The technology it has packed in, was far ahead of its time then. This is not a fancy mobile meant for layman, but its a devil in disguise for those who know how to deal with it. For those who crib about N900 web experience, this phone has taken the browsing experience closest to a PC than any other mobile. Ferrari cars are not for amateur drivers and N900 is in that league. Please don't say nonsense about N900 if you don't know what you are talking about. I can't wait for the Jolla mobile that will gracefully replace my N900! Kudos to Jolla team!

i had this phone for about 3 YEARS and i have no problems at all.it has fallen down a drain ,off a swing at the park and i have dropped it many times.the only 1 problem that i have picked up is that when you are installing something from the app manager it is best not to have anything else running in the backround that slows down the phone.and there is no whatsapp for this phone you have to install yappari it works great.best phone ever

You are misguided, there is lots of ways around this great phone. Please visit Maemo.org and you'll surely get help. Also, it'd help if you gave some info on how this "messy" situation is like. You can't lose your N900, not that simple.

This is the most worst phone by nokia as there is no support after a major issue of that the Nokia N900 vanished itself from the nokia network.
Means you will find an error in your phone like "All telephony functions, including emergency calls, are disabled due to communication error. To recover, you might have to reboot the device." after sometime you spend with that phone.
Once you get that error in your phone then your IMEI no. of the device will vanished and it will also not be recognisable by any nokia or ovi suite and also you an not flash that phone.
The sim card will no longer support in this phone it will become a just a expansive wifi dvice and after few days it will become dead too.
Just hate nokia because of no support for the major error in such an expensive phone.

In most cases it should help!

buyin ths phone ws the biggest mistake. Sometimes it 'refuses' to give me the answering window when there is an incoming call, thus changing a call to be a missed one.

this s the worst phone i've used. my app manager stopped updating and all the catalogues wiped away. i cant update, download or remove any app. the phone heats up if i browse for a few minutes and the web xperience is the worst. the web keeps dragging when opening every page. its so so annoying! any help around??

Instead, you can download Yappari & use it like Whatsapp. Best part is that Yappari is fully integrated with Whatsapp.
