this is the worst phone i've ever had i've had it 5weeks and its crashed twice will never buy a high end nokia again

hi everyone,i used n900 last 9 months,i think its a superior handset ever made by nokia..i can do everything what i need..i see most here are talk about converting vodeos to play in n900...my n900 can play 90% video file without converting them..even youtube videos that i download in my pc without converting them...now i can direct download torrent files...it was amazing..i spent lot of times with my n900 rather than pc....and battery?...u must not dissapointed for that such a powerful machine...i m really happy with my n900.....cheers

somebody could tell me from where can i get the cpufreq application?is it from application manager?and where can i get webOS game files?do i need to pay for it or it is free.....

Ganpat, 22 Dec 2010I use the power kernel in my N900 where the CPU is set to 2... moreAnother point I forgot to mention is that, after overclocking using the power kernel and suitable profile, the power consumption is less since the CPU idles at 250 Mhz compared to the power consumption by the stock kernel.

Rajesh Dwivedi, 20 Dec 2010Ya, u r right it will degrade the performance leval but not... moreI use the power kernel in my N900 where the CPU is set to 250 Mhz during Idle and when you launch any application, it works at the maximum frequency that you have set. By this way, you don't have to manually slide the CPU frequency each time you work with some apps on your phone. Ofcourse when you reboot the changes are lost unless you have customized the settings to be stored after a reboot.
I am not sure how it works with CPUFreq, but I presume the latest version by default idles at 250 Mhz and works at peak frequency when required thus not requiring manual intervention.

Has anyone tried dialing a US toll free number from India using skype account from your Nokia N900 through wifi? I tried it and successfully got connected but the problem is I am not able to enter the passcode successfully since it is a conference number. Actually I can enter the passcode but when I press the # key on the dial pad, it does not get recognized? I am not sure if it is a bug or something, but if anyone has encountered that error? Please let me know. Btw I am using the PR1.2 update in my phone which has # key fix if I am right.

babat, 21 Dec 2010guys help me pls...my N900 can't connect to home wifiHave you setup the wifi connection under Settings->Internet connections. Have you specified the WPA preshared key for that connection if you have setup one for your home wifi connection?

I read that newer N900 models has a MeeGo
and if it still have just maemo, it's upgradable to MeeGo
MeeGo is linux too but it doesn't approve debian packages (ones you use in Maemo)... thankfully it support RPMs

I have a small question, how can I re-add my windows messenger contacts to the msn pecan? Because my friend deleted all of my msn pecan contacts off my N900!!!
Also can anyone please post a link to the Joikuspot free download link? That actually works for real without the registration sites or paid ones either! Bit-torrent ones work just fine

N900 does not support Java, BUT..
Java applets on the web can be run in iceweasel (requires you install Easy Debian), N900 is the onli cellfone with that capability that actually works.
There should be a way to run PC java applets under Easy Debian, i have not done this so i dont know how. Regular cellfone java apps might be harder to run.

This is Wajid, I would like to inform you that Nokia N900 is linux Based Operating System, and we can install Java based Software. I have Nokia N900 and I m enjoying it but I want to install GoodVoice Mobile Dialer, it is not working and showing me unknown Application. Can u suggest me how can I get goodvoice in my mobile with working condition.
