Does reducing ... moreWith cpufreq u can also increase the cpu freequency to 1ghz. ur phone will be running fast as it never happened earlier.. but that would be consuming high battery.. dont worry that will not damage ur cpu neither any other hardware of ur phone... enjoyyyy..

I forgot to mention one thing in my previous review about cpu freq that if u want to reset ur cpu freequency then just restart the phone and cpu freequency will be back to the company settings..

            Thanks,

              Hey guys,

I got the application which can save ur battery with huge difference. I have checked this application and then sharing my views with u all.. Application name is " qcpuFreq ". With this application u can reduce ur cpu freequency to 250mhz and save lots of battery. there is no problem in phone and i have also confirmed with one of my friends working with nokia development that if any mobile processor is forced to run at low freequency then it will be no damage to processor. Download this application. drag the slidebar moved to complete left. click the smart reflax check box. Everytime u restart ur phone, u need to do it everytime.. u can increase the cpu freequency by moving th slider to right. increasing freequency will make ur phone work fast. and hence will consume the battery.. i would say amazing application... every n900 user should have it.. use this application and ur battry problem is solved...

              Thanks,
              Rajesh Dwivedi

course the G2 smokes it in most comparison, but being a hardcore phone geek, I love this phone.

For phone nuts, a nice android phone is essential, so get both.

To Nokia...embrace android, but contiue linux developement, drop symbian.

Galaxy S phones are nice...I've had 2 Vibrants. Vibrants can be gotten cheap on Craigslist, so I sacrificed mine for this rare handheld mini computer.

[deleted post]I am also having the N900. But it is not rubbish.
i am planning to switch to HTC as well, cos Maemo is no more supported & it is dying.

it is little bit harsh to say N900 is Rubbish..

                      tnx

Rajesh Dwivedi, 17 Dec 2010Hey guys i found an application called " sudo gainroot... moreThis is a good app to have.
For instance, I had a problem with the Flash Player, it was not playing certain flash sites after a while.
I used the 'sudo gainroot' app in relation withe the xterminal.
It allowed me to uninstall the flash player then re installing it. Sorted the problem out !
                                I used the commands:

apt-get remove adobe-flash* (hit the return key).

                                then...

apt-get install adobe-flash* (again, juat press the return key).
