i could not connect Gtalk with build in Gtalk, Due to Wifi is only available for me. Is there any solution to use gtalk with Wifi, as well as gmail.

**All you have to do is to:
go to Settings>click the settings on top..and then click on restore original settings.
Don't worry because your applications and contacts will not be erased.

RAYSHEE, 14 Dec 2010the phone should have been made a simbean phoneahah. The onli reason N900 is so good is that it does not have symbian. That would be a good idea eh, destroying the only good unit nokia has, another Symbian crap. It would result in N900 having old and slow Arm11 processor and 640x360 screen. in other words, it would be utterly useless.
If it had symbian it would not have good processor, Nokia has compatibility issues, which is why N8 and E7 and watever use Arm11. (Sony had symbian fone with good processor, they dont have Nokias compatibility issues to consider)

keyboards is not that bad
battery life is bad, i have bought a spare battery
screen size can be larger
if capacitive, then greater, glass is more scrathes resistant than plastic

If the n900 was Symbian then you would not be able to open 20+ programs without slowdown. This runs on Maemo which is far superior than Symbian.

Hi,
I've newly bought N900 and my PH is giving some problem. If I click on Contacts to view the contact, it opens the newly added contacts for a fraction of seconds then gives an error message "Internal Error: application Contacts closed". If I go to other XYZ applications of my handset then also I get this error message. Can someone tell me how to troubleshoot this concern. I've contacted Nokia Ph Support it is pathetic. Also, I want to know the issue which I am facing is because of some virus or problem with software.

flasher-3.5.exe -F filename.bin -f -R

Saurav, 13 Dec 2010How can we format our N900.1. Download and install latest version of flasher for N900 in your PC
2. Download the latest firmware .bin file for N900 and save it where you have installed the flasher
3. Ensure the battery is fully charged
4. Switch off the device
5. Open command prompt from your windows PC and change the directory to where you installed the flasher
cd "%ProgramFiles%\maemo\flasher-3.5"
6. Hold the u key on the N900 keypad and connect the USB cable at the same time
7. Run the following command from your PC
flasher-3.5.exe -F -f -R
for example:
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2.004_PR_COMBINED_004_ARM.bin -f -R
The flash will take approximately 2-5 minutes after which the N900 will reboot and display the Welcome Screen with Regional settings. After booting, you may use the backup utility to restore your settings.
