Anonymous, 04 Dec 2010cant set up yahoo email on n900 help metry using nokia messaging when setting up email. it gives you push email, although only retrieves email from the last month. the problem with yahoomail is that unless you have a yahoo plus account (which you pay for), it's a bit difficult to set it up. there are instructions on the internet, as i myself have been able to download my entire yahoo mailbox (and don't have a plus account), but can't find the website i got my settings from atm.

i got my new nokia n900 on 1st dec. loving the device...worth the wait for so long time. guys, just need one clarification, can the applications be downloaded thru pc and then installed to this device?

After 1 year of thinking of this device, i finally decided to get one.
After a couple of days of rubbing it, two things come first into my mind. First why the h*ll i waited this long, this phone, preferably computer, is wonderful. The second is, what the f*ck were they thinking at Nokia not to put more efforts on this platform early enough (meego is coming, i know, but still).
If you like playing with computers and the idea of having full control over your devices and gadgets then this is your phone. You dont have to be pure nerd to find the potential, most everything can be done in GUI, but as you learn and want to do more, the is no barriers ahead.
I have browsed through iphone software in itunes, and most of it is useless crap. For this phone there is everything i would need easily downloaded and installed.
Okay, the interface is not as cool looking or seamless than the iphone or new htc, but iPhone is a girl-phone, it fits nice next to the makeup bag :)
Only one issue is a big minus: Mail for exchange needs to have "non-provisioned devices allowed" in the company server, might cause compatibility problems in business-use.

Bernardo, 04 Dec 2010My N900 is slower everyday and as of today nobody has been ... moreit tends to get slower because your ram gets filled day by day due to hidden applications( this was what i read)
and so when we flash our phone, this occupied ram gets free and so the phone feels to be faster after flashing or upgrading, there is one more way to clear your allocated ram without flashing, i.e. typing a code in your xterminal to remove and free all allocated ram, but i am afraid that i now dont remember those letters, now you have to check it yourself at meamo.org

guys, is this nokia n900, having an ovi store, as well as running on Maemo OS, does it have games like those in iphone, and those phones running on Android OS?

Wow!!!!! this is so cool. After updating (maemo 5 update) my Lovely N900 a few days ago, all I can say is "Awesome". My battery life improved significantly. Its just like a majic. Before, I could not boast of "upto 6hours in-between charge with very light usage". Now, its so amazing to see my battery run for over 22hours in-between charge with extremely heavy usage. I'm so loving this awesome device even more.
Nokia is the Bomb!!! Great work Maemo crew!
