Praneeth, 14 Oct 2010Warranty turning void is the confirm news once indian hands... moreI don't think so, because all firmwares and flashing software are official available to N900 owners for downloading.
Also you can always flash back to the indian version and nobody will ever know that you have the global one before.

lenandes, 14 Oct 2010anyone here know how to play facebook video posted by other... moreAt this moment there is no flash 10.1 for N900. The only solution is to install "Tweak Flash plugin version v0.3-maemo0", which enables us to change info about our installed flash version (cheating facebook
        website). Link is here:

        http://maemo.org/downloads/product/Maemo5/tweakflashver/

Another option is to get from Texas Instruments Linux (not Android) plug-in for Firefox. From this plug-in we need only file "libflashplayer.so". Some people already got it and now have real flash 10.1. Sadly plug-in is meant for developers, but no one stops us to send request.

Don’t forget about the Nokia N900! Word on the net (the Meego blog to be specific) is that PR 1.3 update is coming soon and that you’ll be able to dual boot between Maemo and Meego. The last update, PR 1.2 was released last May. Do you still have your Nokia N900?

On the Maemo side, there have been interesting, supporting developments going on, as well. The PR 1.3 update is quite close now, and with that you can easily dual boot between Maemo and Meego on your N900. There is also a possibility of developing applications supporting both operating systems, based on Qt and Qt Mobility APIs on the Maemo side. It means that you can develop once in PC with Qt Creator, and test your applications on both Maemo and MeeGo, directly on your N900 device!

This is exciting news since a lot of Nokia fans are looking forward to the new Meego OS. We also love getting firmware updates on our devices, so Maemo fans are going to be happy. Dual booting different OS sounds great too. That means we can change the user experience if we don’t like one of them. We’ll keep our eyes open for updates on this development

You can flash your phone with global firmware.
One problem is if you bought the phone in India, your warrenty may turn void. Apart from that, you should have no problem flashing your device unless you dont know how to flash it. Go thru maemo.org for info on how you can flash the phone. Do some research before jumping in. All the best..
