[deleted post]My sister owns a galaxy. I like N900 Better. If you are a android fan boy or need baby feeding with apps, go with Galaxy. If you are ready to invest sometime into building up a mobile for you (customization that fits you), dont hurry up for weekly updates and appreciate what Maemo Community is trying to build for each of us, go with N900. Looks and screen - Galaxy. Potential N900. I like to be unique.Every third man in this world now own a android phone :P.

I just got mine yesterday. Pretty much excited about it. It looks awesome and it felt great in hand. I quickly played with some apps, themes and im already in love with it. Wifi connection was instant and setting up gmail, gtalk, skype are a cake walk. Yet to see how media side of phone stands though. Touch screen sensitivity felt right next to apple (I have seen both). I did not expect that from a resistive screen.Certainly Much better than my sisters Galaxy. There were a couple of instances where the phone was lagging but that could be because i did not even tweak the basic things. It was right out of the box.
Maemo.org had plenty of apps, more than what is needed if you have in mind what you are going to use this phone for. I love this phone

        Hello,

Justed wanted to know if I should get the n900. I currently own n97 and x10, the new phone will replace the n97, im thinking about n8, but the price is high, plus I think I want my 2nd phone to have a full keyboard which the n97 has. I don't see much options regarding the full keyboard option in nokia.

Btw, how is this maemo os, is it similar to symbian, if its too complicated I'd rather hold on to my n97 cause my sony x10 android os gave me a headache.

Guys I have this masterpiece N900 for 8 months now but no problems at all so far! With my excessive use I became addicted to it haha! I wanted to ask I have a 512MB memory card in it just for backup, but I heard that by inserting a larger memory card the phone will take more RAM from it! Is it true? Would 2GB memory card be enough? Thanks for your response! GO GO N900... Hope to see PR 1.3 SOOOOON :-)

go to this website, click downloads at the top and at the right side there would be a list of categories for softwares for maemo5 click system and there you would be able to find it...
after you install it, you can install any debian based files on your n900 and you just have to google the type of app you want..:)

seenu, 27 Sep 2010nokia has introduced a good mobile n900 good features ........ morei think you are on wrong web page...
                                  many good features = correct
                                  BUT
                                  very slow = absolutely wrong

it has got 1 gb ram and powerful arm a8 600 mhz processor which made this phone a multitasking monster with no lag in opening or switching between many tasks.
                                  your piece must be defected.
i recommend you to update your firmware and if even that does not work and your phone still works slow, get your n900 checked from a nokia authorized shop like nokia care. only then you would be able to witness its awsmness...:)
