Rw1972, 16 Aug 2010Blackberry OS is the best by far, I should know I have had ... morewe cant say BB OS better than Nokia. Each devise has it's own OS & specific arrangements.
I am using both, BB & N900 and happy with both OS. it depends on the person him self in how he absorbs the device & its contents.

truth be told , The N900 is mighty awesome , i mean really really awesome,perfect mobile computer/phone ,however it has one major flaw, its battery , personally i feel Nokia could have done a better job around that field, i knw tablets drain power at an alarming rate as many claim,but still ,thats still no excuse for such a crappy battery , i mean,it can barely make it to 8hrs of normal usage,and much much worse on wifi, mind you, by normal usage i think you all can deduce that i mean being used by the 99% of us that Demetrius talked about earlier, the 99% of us N900 users who dont knw a single thing about putting its incredible power to use.i wonder how power users get around that problem...
by the way just because we dont know s@#t abt Harnessing the N900's doesnt mean we cant point out its hardware flaws,how then is Nokia supposed to know where they messed up ?if we all defended and pretended to be cool with evrythng do you think human kind would have reached such heights?
anyways all i got to say is i love my N900(though i dont knw how to handle and put to good use its "power" ) but its battery's driving me crazy

chandra, 16 Aug 2010some weakness: (1) we always experience can not install wha... more(1) we always experience can not install what we had downloaded completely, that downloaded software always exucuted as corrupted files.
A)- didnt face such an issue, all downloads are perfectly done.
(2) using modem always failed due to many reasons, one is of cable data, and system;
A)- No problem here.
(3) we can not make each number with each sound, even for call or sms. We just do only one choice for all and so on. (Not like other cheaper hardware;
A)- there is an application for this, but still under Extra-Devel. I guess u have to wait like us till it will be available in the application manager.
(4)hardware hotter when we used for ovi map.
A)- strange, mine never gets hot.

dularam, 14 Aug 2010i am confused of buying a nokia n900 or a nokia n8 or c6 ,c... moreit all depends on what you want your device to do. the n900 is a device that can do it all and the same time you need to be more technologically advance to play with it. also the n900 are lacking in the ovi apps store however the are other place that ordinary people create apps for free but just be careful it might void the phones warranty. now the n8 is great phone that is more easier to use and has a greater amount of apps from the ovi store. but you dont get those other third party apps like the n900. also the n8 can take hd pictures and movies and you can connect the phone to the hdmi port on your TV to see the hd quality. then you have the c6 which is a basic smartphone kind of like the blackberry but way more affordable. i hope this helps in any way.

I hope Nokia would release a second hardware version of the N900 with faster ARM and a Gyro. Anyone agrees?

If you search google with "n900 broken USB" then you'll see this phones has had problems with a broken micro USB connector even when used with care. Did anyone experience this and were you able to claim for warranty?
