n does the battery icon i... moreBattery icon has no issues its just that it shows full upto 80% of the battery below 80% who will notice the change.
Also the battery will last you 1 day with medium to heavy use, it sucks actually

just go to Maemo.org, register yourself and find info about flashing your device. It is same as formating your pc. You can also google 'Flashing N900'

ayava, 02 Aug 2010guys, there are not enough aps for Maemo.. shame because th... moreThe Maemo community is excellent and capable of making great apps and they have done it too. You have to activate the Extras, extra testing and extra dev repositarys to know their actual potential.
There will be many many apps comming once nokia get hold of QT framework after shortly releasing meego and i bet the community will easily be able to port Meego onto N900. N900 does what noone is able to do yet. It has full blown office - openoffice and not just doc to go and quick office types. There are already good apps and they are comming thick and fast and the already built in QT framework will ensure that it keeps on comming. N900 is a whole package hardware and software very flexible. To this date no android phone even has a TV out. It has applet support which phone supports Java applet. none. if i were to loose my n900 ill buy it again without even a second thought.

Regarding the photo id to a contact u will need to use an option called avatar. u can find it in photos or or when u press the edit button on the contact. concerning the ringtone u need to download an application for that called per contact ringtone.

What is the current cost of this phone in India ? Does it support other os's officially ? Hows the resistive screen and maemo os ? Hows the quality of music through headsets ? Is it loud ? Thx in advance :)

guys, there are not enough aps for Maemo.. shame because the soft and the hardware offers so much potential.
i may have to change to an Android phone or even a Blackberry (as i had before), and hoping to not be forced to go as far as taking an iPhone.
But it just feels the support is better on the other side...

From there you can group your contacts, assign custom ringtone (wav file) on each group. You can also put it on your desktop as widget.
