i got it in march and really i'm not satisfied at all. it's really powerful , i like it very much. its power is visible immediately if u compare this pure linux kernel dispositive with the others i have (N97 , E72 , E52 , E55). I have to say that Nokia does not support it at all. u have turn by turn navigation only paying sygic dedicated application for example. it isn't supported by ovi and pcsuite (or better only supported in basic functions - no maps no messages etc). and now i really think that with meego devices Nokia will not have any interest in the development. i think Nokia wanted only to test if customers were prepared for a not symbian os in case of necessity but what had invested in symbian is too much to go much more than slowly slowly slowly in a new direction. i'm really grateful to fhe maemo community for the support that gives to this project. i have a big complaint, its about the Bluetooth dialup to enable N900 as modem over bluetooth from laptop (from extras repo). It doesnt show any indicator that EDGE/3G is connected when in use, nothing at all, the data counter could be running at roaming data rates, that could be a very unwelcome surprise on future phonebills!

I cant set up N900 to always ask when the laptop tries to connect over bluetooth as i can with Symbian N-series fones, i need a way to stop accidental connections from the paired laptop, and/or an indicator that will tell me there is an active data connection (which i would on a Symbian N-series) in case someone forget to shut down the link after use.

                I need a fix... anyone?

ganze, 30 Jun 2010well music of ths phone is good. music in headphone is same... morethe original earplugs dont suck, its the best ever on a Nokia. But i still use Sony earplugs, its ofcors better. But Koss and these guys are not better, Actually depends how u define audio quality, 4 example lots of ppl say its good if ders lots of bass, if the midtone is grumsy and the treble is distorted beyond recognition doesnt matter to some.

Anonymous, 29 Jun 2010I’ve been seriously considering buying this tablet for a lo... moreI got it almost 6 months ago.

well battery life is not bad, all smart phones have similar battery life, if u use every thing like wifi, browsing, listening songs and making calls like for 2 hours approx and some photos, it will work for 24 hours

but if u watch avi movies, eg 2 movies. battery will be gone in 5 hours only

my iphone 4 friends have same battery life.

about the design, n900 forces to to use it in landscape mode caz of its keyborad.

well i want to share the things which i hate about it

                                1. its resistive touch
                                2. ovi maps loading time
                                3. bad response time if i compare with i phone.

good thing is its relatively cheaper and has every thing and a really much better photo quality.

I’ve been seriously considering buying this tablet for a long long time,I love everything about it,all its capabilities, its power….but I’m not so sure I want it anymore, I might have to consider buying a different phone :-(
I must admit , its awesome but it does have some flaws, 1 of them being its size and worst of all its battery life which from what I hear is quite a pain in the butt ,a major disappointment ,it barely last more than half a day,wht the heck nokia ?
Oh!! And no choice for switching between portrait and landscape mode? ? why would you want to take that away from customers, I know the aim here was for the ultimate desk top experience but time and again we get in situations where we are forced to use portrait mode (nd face it, as much as y’all want to deny it ,most of us need portrait mode) it would have been nice having this option (I’m not sure I would want to spend more than a year using a phone in landscape mode only) , I just wish someone at maemo community would come up with a solution for this, write a program that would make good use of the accelerometer to switch between portrait and landscape mode…

So if anyone has any solution for the battery life problem and the absence of the portrait mode option please share them with us

And thanks in advance for ur help….

Dude its a powerful mobile.i admit it..But whats the use if it can not do video calling on 3G,even it is a 3G mobile??

And have u got any confirmation from nokia that they are gonna include 3G calling in the next firmware update??

Did nokia even say that there is gona be a 3rd update(PR 1.3)???

New nokia mobiles are coming (meego and Symbian4) which may have all the things n900 is missing and they will surely drop n900..

Nokia is not supporting n900 coz its a very powerfull device and if it gets full support no one will buy any other nokia phones....n900 will rule...but NOKIA just wont allow it coz they want to sell other mobiles also....

At the end of the day its purely business...not customer satisfaction....

Am not against NOKIA...These are the facts....
So dont believe blindly on nokia
