And, filipinos tend to say things are expensive when its something they need, but dont mind spending 5k here and 5k there for "useless" things ehehe, and those things get up to 30k total pretty fast =).
Im sure we all know someone who is happy to spend 5,000 to decorate their jeep but refuse to pay 300 to fix the brakes. Its just the way things are, but dont have to be like that?
So maybe 30k isnt so bad after all for a very capable pocket computer? If you will spend 20k for a cellfone and accessories anyway then there is not many sacrifices you have to make to get those 10k extra to get the best.
Its not expensive, its just a matter of priority!

*cover is a bit dammaged and falls off once in a while. little ducktape will do!

You cant keep a netbook in a belt holster, u cant receive calls or texts on a netbook. Why compare different devices? For very many people N900 can do MORE than a netbook, and it can do it anywhere.
We also need to see the prices of netbooks with 3G, and added cost of having extra subscription for 3G data for the netbook. PLUS THE PRICE OF AN ACCEPTABLE GOOD CELLFONE! Yes, you still need a cellfone =)
Total price: N900 is much cheaper.
Its funny when im in for example airport, people are flocking like sheeps to the nearest electric outlets and drag out their laptop powersupplies and plug them in. Then start balancing the laptop. And what do they do? Chat, Facebook! And then they cant even go buy a coffe coz they are afraid to leave their laptop/netbook alone for 1 minute.
Netbook is crap, N900 is my bestfriend. Laptop i only bring on long trips with overnight stays, to rig it up in a hotelroom or somewhere i will stay long and frequently, but netbook is totally useless when you are on the go, and in the car, and.. N900 is always better. And cheaper in total.

hi..i talked with a nokia dealer and he told it might be a problem with the software.
gonna reinstall it 2mo :-)
and pls tel me what are the battery draining apps....coz mine jus stays for only 1 day even if its in 2g and without using wifi.
does the apps battery eye and battery graph drain battery?

Hey peeps, please someone help. I am from South Africa and have my Nokia N900 for 2 weeks now, i have dwnloaded the fMMS aplication for sending and receiving MMS but i need the settings to put in to configure the unit, my network provider is CELL C, this is what i am needing.Access point name: ,MMSC: ,User Name: ,Password: ,HTTP Proxy: ,Port Number: .There are advanced settings as well which they ask for:IP Address: ,Primary DNSaddress: ,Secondary DNS Address: .Who has downloaded the fMMS and seen it work, please help me with this.

Ever since I've updated My n900 to pr1.2, I keep getting the message "Ovi Store is currently not available for your device." when I try to access the ovi store.
I've been trying this for weeks..thinking it may be temporary..bt ntn changed..I still get the same message :s
Any help will be greatly appreciated :)
P.S: I updated My n900 to pr1.2 via OTA.
