im planinn to buy this phone can any one please tell me if it has some major problems because i really need a phone with fm transmitter as well as more softwares specially nimbuzz etc. i have a choice of buyin n900 or n97,can any one help me please,iv also heard that the command *111# doesnt realie work on n900,im confsed i really need some help any one

dear dont update your firm to 1.2 is will remove the Fm Transmtion form your device.
any one now how to enable it plz

Just an update. Some one earlier mentioned email works automatically if you sign you personal account through the nokia email messaging system. I've gotta say its solved the problem. I now get emails and the phone updates at a regular time interval. It even has the ability to set the times of the day you want the phone to update your email.
All in all i'm pleased.. but i would still be happier if Nokia corrected the problem with updating personal email account

How can i measure the color?
I can't see the 64K,65K, or 16 Million colors !!

simply the best phone ever...
im writing the review from it atm.. anyways..
to the noobs out there google it, youll find all sorts of neat things out there. ive overclocked mine to 1.15ghz using the titan kernel method which is available at maemo extras or devel-extras repository..
one major dfrawback would be the keyboard, bit hard to get used to but once you do its not so bad..

For the people who do not get OTA and also cannot download via NSU. But, you must have run and fail NSU at least once. This works:
1.
Download Latest firmware (its name is Latest PR1.2 global) from here: http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N900.php. You need to enter your devices imei code to download file.
2.
Navigate to this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Nokia\Nokia Service Layer\A\nsl_service_module_00001\vpls\http://www.dsut.online.nokia.com.oti...Products\rx-51 (THIS IS WINXP OR VISTA FOLDER, IT MAY DIFFER IN DIFFERENT OS'S)
4.
overwrite the .bin file you downloaded in step 1 to this folder.
5. Then, run NSU.

Anonymous, 27 May 2010it was downloading and about 33mb download out of 184mb and... morei really dont know whats happening with you ........... try after restoring to original from settings and make sure you have enough free space for software for applications ...check from memory status......best of luck try again
