Ganpat, 28 May 2010Yes, there are some changes to the camera UI like you sugge... moreno my friend it didnt work. the setting u said were already setup :( but still no success :(
i have 4 mails in Nokia messaging: 1 gmail, 1 hotmail, 1 Ovi, and 1 live
i need to choose one to appear in the widget just like the N97 it should have the same logic... but i still cant :(

To all of you who cannot update OTA; the prolem seems to be in using certain apps like brainparty, tux etc etc
Try this command, hopefully you'll find the 'continue' option below the backup option..it worked smooth for Me.
Open x-terminal, become root by typing
sudo gainroot
and thn type
apt-get upgrade
Happy PR1.2 (hopefully)!!

what the user should do and expect to get a clean upgrade of the 1.2 firmware.
And I prefer not using any command line flashers or strange workaround procedures. This should work using nokia's main upgrade software intended for any customer.

Look, I want a clean update, which I though that the Nokia Software Updater did. (A reflash).
So, would someone explain what the hell is going on. Why can't I update using the Nokia Software updater as it stops every time at 33.6 MB.
Seriously, how hard can this be.

Guys,guys,guys.......WHY ?
We post it a million times. Maybe a zillion. Don't expect all your questions to be automatically answered. Search. I personally post yesterday the direct link which i were download the .bin file of the PR 1.2 . It was 166MB if i remember correctly. I also downloaded and the memory .bin file. I made a 100% clean installation. New firmware and a memory format. It took me 25 minutes to download and install. The memory file was more than 200MB... I bought this device before 3 months,and i didn't knew anything about Linux. And still don't,but when ever want anything, i search the 'net and learn. Youtube,Google...my best friends. Do the same.

n900 downloading update failed :C everytime.. i have no idea why its happen..this is not funny nokia..
manual firmware installation is hard to do..for some people its easy..i cant even update via OTA bcoz i can only do back up but i cant install..
im so unlucky d@mn..w t f NOKIA..

I've just updated my N900 to the latest software and it's super freek now works really perfect though I hated the new virtual keyboard but it's ok once you get used to it, I still need time but other than that no glitches or what so ever and noticiably faster than before. it's more than what you imagine for sure really worthy updating and owning such device

can you tell me where save the dowanloaded fle in N900 phone memory? i have dowanloaded some file but i can not find out this.So please help to know abt this.
