So I have finally received my N900 today. What are the essential applications I shoud download?
I have updated the software to Maemo 5 version.
It already has gps, gtalk, skype, etc.
Are there any applications or software that are necessary to have or that comes handy and should be downloaded?
Do we have google picassa for N900?
What about Fring IM messenger?

Sorry I meant to mention when I try upgrade my software with nokia software updater it says I have the current version, I am with Vodafone so maybe they have only approved 2009 version

My firmware is version 2.2009.51-1.205.1
Does anyone know if this is latest firmware?
also I am very confused, I believe there is a new firmware update coming soon called PR 1.2 with loads of bugs fixed but how do you upgrade.
do you go Apps Manager and then update and select it if avail or is this wrong?

Check ur firmware in Nokia website.
