please let me know,is the phone ok for use in Nigeria?cos I just love the phone and am not IT inclined so dont really no much about any thing like software issues...hurry and reply ASAP cos i need a new phone urgently.

smith usa, 27 Mar 2010hey deep...is thr any way i can release my root memory its ... more-first uninstall the apps that you don't use and any apps that you may have installed from extras-devel or extras-testing. Those applications are not optified and are not memory efficient.
-second,Disable Extras-testing, Extras-devel and/or any other third party repositories - this should save some 11.5 MB of rootfs space
-third, try searchin for good scripts that can free some rootfs space and run them. Be cautious and if you are not really a geeky type, avoid this.
these should help! try to maintain 50MB free space atleast in rootfs for better functioning of the phone. You can install 'storage usage' application to monitor your memory usage of folders!

all the updtaes released so far are not strong as the N900 still have many issues.
they were saying there r going to be a strong & big update end of this month.
lets see,,,
many poeple in my country who purchased the N900, already returned back, due to software issue...
we are waiting for the next version here, then will take it..:)

at last!! my n900 is at customs in the airport
one quick question... how many updates have been released? and is the last one, the one supposed for the end of feb. as far as I remember, has been released yet?

Pls can som! tell me whether i can install MT4 mobile trade application on N900? am a trade and only use windows mobile phones because of compatibility with my trade platform(MT4).......lol

NAM and international freqencies at once
i think they just made it up so they can keep customers from leaving to go to WiND and public mobile

deep space bar, 27 Mar 2010use WINDmobile rogers only supports 850/1900 HSPA smartphon... morei heard than wind is comming its way to my city location, winnipeg. and when rogers heard that, they also talked to me and said that they will soon support 2100 bands of 2g and 3g signal!
maybe i must wait before doing actions, have two phones so far, make one wind.

Wind supports AWS 1700/2100 and more of those are being made now
and nexus one and N900 are the killers since only use that frequency
plus it's cheapers on WINDmobile

will I play extra to use internet and Gps with this new N900? (i do not have a data plan right now. im using prepaid cards everymonth)
And finally. I need a good opinion if possible.
my main reason for buying this phone is for
- best webbrowsing phone
- FM transmitter (i use it a lot in my car)
- tv out (watch lotsa movies at friends house)
- i really like nokia phones and i think this is one of their top of the line cellphones
does any other phone offer good features that i've mentioned? THANK A LOT IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR ADVICE

i kinda handled mine poorly
PR 1.2 is coming soon so you'll have a new amount of updates to do
48gb soon to 64gb soon at your disposal why not and the only actual problem i've had was the MicroUSB falling out nothing else really lol so if you take good care of it....it wont happen
other then that it will be the best investment you've invested in
i even wanna buy another one just for the hell of it since it's a really good device

Hey Deep Space,
Now that you've had your N900 a couple of months, with all its problems, would you still recommend this phone to me. I travel extensively and I need the internet constantly. I'm a really big Skype user with clients all over the world. Not interested in games and similar stuff. Just a good professional phone with great Skype ability.
Please tell me if you would still recommend I buy this as its coming to Sweden in a few weeks.

i am also planning to get n900 from US. is it already unlocked in US its price is $500. i am planning to order it from the the nokia store. just want to be sure aboutt that is it unlocked and would work in delhi.

I just ordered mine N900 last night, I saw that it's also pretty hard to get overhere. Alot of shops like vodafone don't even sell them. They have to wait till next shipment I guess.. Could anybody have a clue on how long that could take? There already was another order for a N900 in that shop but I don't know for how long it was there.. I live in Europe (Netherlands).
Can't wait for it! :)
