I used the phone all of one day , exactly 3 hours. First I never had a " No Clue " why I bought this phone. The OS was not recognizable, the phone was large, so you would be hard pressed to carry it around. I found trying to really justify it as impossible. Music, I can tell you lots of devices that do it easier and better. Net, Come on, how many of us really use our phone as Net first and everything next. It should be Phone first and everything else next. This I could not feel, I felt silly, just carrying it around. I " Traded it to a Dealer " ( It was not officially launched ) who said he had two units and the price I wanted to sell him was his selling price as he wanted to get rid of them. I finally settled for a loss of 35%, but I escaped by selling it. Had I waited , well I would have it in my collection unused, like my N800 tablet, completely useless. TRY IT BEFORE YOU BUY IT> SPEND AT LEAST 10 MINS or MORE.

sharan, 18 Mar 2010Dear, from where did you purchased this n900 and how much f... morei bought my device from u.s. through online. only about 12 hrs shipping (frm u.s to canada).

having fun with it so far. having a data cable and charger of spare battery might be needed for heavy users, but still, this is a powerfull device, and expected to consume much power. for full heavy use and with wifi + movies, about 10-12 hrs in a fully charge battery is guaranteed.

always online for about 20-24 hrs gsm and/or 3g connection.
cmaera settings is more customizable. speakers are not as good as the 5800 and n97 but okay.

i've been quite busy with my n900 and i have it for almost 3 months. this device really suits my needs for business, work and entertainment.

in my case, battery life is not an issue, though havin' questions why nokia did not install at least a 1500mah battery. but still, its okay for me coz it can handle 1.5 to 2 days of my normal use, and the battery is replaceable.

my device oftenly runs slow, but it is expected due to my routine running more than 5 apps at the same time. this is my first device that can handle multi-tasking without havinf any problems.

flash that is installed is the best. i can say that its an overkill due to thinking that nokia almost put everything in the n900, well except for the telephony features.

its not the heaviest smartphone i had but its the bulkiest.

the n900 is not as nice to look at as the n97 but the n97 had more faults than the british government.
the battery life or should we say battery death is rubbish,i can take a picture but dont get the option to send as multimedia via text only email, heeeeeeelp

The hardware specs make it comparabale to a netbook and more. Otherwise it's a bulky, ugly and unusable phone mostly suffering from software issues and a sub-par touch-screen. Avoid by any means.

Hardware issues: Battery life in reality measures to around 10 hours (as much as my nokia booklet 3g). It's like having a brick in your pocket. The touch screen feels circa '98 (to an iphone user).

                        Software issues:
Only works in landscape mode, although it has the hardware to support autorotation. Slow, and not very responsive. Contacts shows all your contacts together with the contacts from your IM accounts without the ability to filter only the contacts from your phone. Skype, gtalk etc. chats get in your way all the time. The default browser is only good if you have eagle-eye vision (not recommended for people suffering myopia).

Arcanus, 17 Mar 2010hello guys! i have a nokia n900 the phone is great but i... moredon't ever say jailbreak for any phone...it's only the iphone that has restrictions not the n900 plus goo look up some commands you can copy and paste them on x terminal
just make sure you know you want before you go CnP commands cause you can mess up your phone since your running an actual 90% desktop OS
