I have the n900 and absolutely love it. I have the iPhone 3gs and love it as well and you can't compare these two devices cause they are truly different and caters to a diffent type of consumer. Both are good at what they do and far as the battery is concern; have you folks condition the battery before heavy usage? I did and it last all day with only ne charge but then again my usages is probaly more or less then yours. Awesome phone and graphics is amazing

up to now n900 is still not better after firmware update. Battery the same before, no fring and nimbuzz. I cannot use actionvoip. The best phone are e71 and e72 good battery and voip but still not skype video call . Think n900 do the same it .

dear nokia company, I am suggestion that you should harry up release maemo os that it can skype video call or fring. And produce a new battery which powerfull like 1800AM for replacing if you late the android is the best phone that competition. I am very boring with 3times for charging a day eventhought after latest firmware update it still the same before.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970well, i have an n97 but still, n900 is way better, better in everything, memory, resolution and speed. the only advantage of n97 from n900 is that, n900 does not support java, BUT!!!! n900 has flash player and everything in it is pre-installed, unlike n97, everything is obtained with a paid upgrade.
n900 has minimal crashes and more ram, seriously, you barely encounter app crashes on n900, if you will, just dont do anything, after seconds, the phone gets back to itself. unlike n97, you may need to reboot, or take of the battery, then reboot to get rid of the crash

Well, i used this fone for quite some time and i frankly wouldnt recommend it to any person having a busy schedule. It works only in landscape mode and really is a deal breaker in terms of calling etc.

N900 Brick with experimental memo OS open end, is doomed to be failure. Weight they heaviest till date, speaker well below standard output, no third party apps, Only a browser phone, with 800$ tag.
Guys you have nothing else to spend hard earned money onn. Resale is always half even within a month, whats the charm. Technology get old overnight.

This is for all you people who complain about the battery life!
Have you ever timed how dreadfully poor any battery life is on any laptop? With a smartphone such as the N900 you're constantly messing with it and yet it lasts for hours and yet you all complain.
If the phone had a bigger battery you would complain how big or how heavy the phone is!
If you get 4 to 6 hours of constant use from your N900 with its current battery you should not complain. Instead you should marvel at it!
Stop your whining and suck it up!
