              actually its maybe u not have activate all application catalogs yet..before install preenv u need a complete catalog first.r u just buy this phone???if yes u need to add a catalog first.

              firstly u open your application manager,then click application manager icon at the top,choose application catalog.then u click new.after u click it,it will open a page with 4 blank boxes.fill it with this:

              -Extras-Devel
              -http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/
              -fremantle
              -free non-free
              type it with correctly,n do not tick disable.
              after u have type all this,click save.it will go for checking update.

              secondly after all is clear,add another catalogs.
              fill it with this.
              -Extras-Testing
              -http://repository.maemo.org/extras-testing/
              -fremantle
              -free non-free
              dont cl8ick disable n save it.it will go for check another time.

              then after all is clear,add another catalogs n fill this in blank boxes.
              -Extras
              -http://repository.maemo.org/extras/
              -fremantle
              -free non-free
              then click save.

                    Rashed, 21 Mar 2012N97&N900&C6 in all the N97 IS BEST BECAUSE NO STRIB... moreN97 is the worst ever smartfone from Nokia, it has nothing to do with mini computer, its simple and slow and low res display and you name it. PRocessor is 3x slower than N900, it has no advanced browser (N900 is still the most advanced browser ever on a handheld), and it has no GPU.

                    There is nothing good about N97, especially not the keyboard slider that opens with a BANGGG so the fingers hurt and people are jumping coz they get so startled by the slider. So violent and bad system, and looks so stupid also.

                    N97 is the worst Nokia ever, and N900 is the best ever, regardless of brand.

                        ok love n900 BUT for some reason it wont let me access my contacts?, it just closes contact list and says "Internal error.Application 'contacts' closed. ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS? :(

                                hi...friends... i m stuck..i m using n900 n i love it...but suddenly few days back my phone stopped ringing....it just vibrates.. have done all d things...formatted...updated the softwear...took to nokia care where they changed d ringer,updaed d softwear...hard reset it...but with all this efforts still my phone doesnt rings...help out please...

Theres nothing great about N9, the OS is simple, simple browser, teh Flashplugin is only for Firefox and not for the default MeeGo browser, and the meego browser is limited and not nice to use. Very good support for HTML5, but thats all. After the Pr1.2 update the Maps got slow, buggy, doesnt feel nice.

                                    N900 also got some weaknesses but the strong points outweighs them by far, with N9 its opposite, i tried to like it but i cant, i always find myself using the Xperia Pro instead and not only because it has an excellent keyboard.

N900 is great but is not for everyone, its a special device in some ways, its best to be a little geeky, you need to be an advanced user to make it shine. For an average smartphone user, if you want a cheap great smartphone with a keyboard, then go for Sony3riczn Xperia Mini Pro. However stay away from X10 Mini Pro, its very different and much older, too slow and too low res display to be useful. Or go for SE Xperia Pro if your budget allows, its by far the best keyboard android phone available.

                                        I've been using N900 for more than a year which is a best mini computer for people who want to have a gadget that include almost every function that a mobile computer can have.Its wonderful and quite enough to handle official work, entertainment, geo-location tracking(through maps and GPS), and many more.
