i tatolly agree with you nick, nokia customer service is the worst customer service i've never experienced, i can't even find words to describe how bad it is, it just sucks, in any way. don't get me wrong ppl, i'm not a nokia hater, i just replaced my N95 with the new N900, i love nokia products, but i just hate hate hate hate their customer service. thinking to call them? don't call if it's not your day-off, coz they put you on hold forever, and don't ever ask to speak to the superviser, coz they don't let you to, or oh,, our superviser is busy, can you call back later, and now, you are mad. F their representatives.

Too bad that people have to press ctrl+shift+o for the browser to go to portarit mode...it doesn even do auto rotate....wats the use of accelerometer then....wats nokia doing with these updates.....

10x zohal... im reflecting on what to buy... and i think it will be n900 :D i just fell in love with this phone from the start.. and when im seeing these updates coming out im soooo wanna buy it.. But il wait for a bit so to see if the mini n900 comes out... because thats the only disadvantage its a brick... but on the whole it is very awsome because my friend has it and it is without updata and still awsome.. xD xD xD xD

1. No stereo speakers
2. Less Internal memory
3. Gets laggy when loaded memory card is inserted
4. No infrared, no..its not an outdated feature
5. No secondary camera
6. Not a promising UI at all! its just the HTC SENSE..which acts like cover..covering the basic WINDOWS MOBILE UI!
7. Very poor and limited WEB FLASH support i.e NO PC WEB BROWSING EXPERIENCE
8. No multi-taskin..correct Me if Im wrong here*
9. No AVI/DIVX/XVID support out of the box
10.Only 65k limit of screen color
11.Poor sunlight legibility
12.Poor/below par photo and video quality
13.MMC card slot beneath the battery cover!
14.No Dedicated camera key
15.No lens cover
Coming to the NOKIA N900 NOW,
1.if you say it does'nt support portrait mode..well then it was released as an INTERNET TABLET 1ST AND PHONE LATER..and now portrait mode has been added to the browser officially too!
2. No CAPACITIVE SCREEN..well N900's RESISTIVE SCREEN IS AS RESPONSIVE AS CAPACITIVE FOR ME :)
3. YOU CALL IT A BRICK..THEN LEMME TELL YOU IT HAS A QWERTY KEYBOARD AS WELL..and thats point NO.16 for the HTC HD2! :D

Anonymous, 14 Jan 2010you obviously never had the hd2 it kills n900 so bad its no... moreI have to disagree. I tried my friends HD2 and its pretty fast and nice but underneath it all it is still just boring windows mobile and maemo in my opinion is much better and faster and never gets boring. But hey thats just me.

Nokia has released a second fw update for the device, so 2 updates in 2 weeks, Which has fixed tweaked settings under the hood, read the full change log http://wiki.maemo.org/Maemo_5/PR1.1,

Re Mobile Phones Direct.
I read a post asking about their service and reputation? Well, I can only go by my experience which is extremely poor. They cannot deliver to anywhere outside of billing address for credit card meaning the wonderful Royal Mail depot take 48 hours for it to be received from the postie, approx half a mile from my house (without a phone for 2 days). N900 faulty and powering off randomly so I asked for a replacement, Mobile Phones Direct dont use a courier service so you need to send it back and wait for them to return a new one, once yours has been received. Guess what, same issue with Royal Mail again and due to the weekend, I could be without a phone for 4 or 5 days...Not good enough when I use it for work.
The attitude and quality of the service when you call is particularly poor and I for one, cannot recommend them. It seems you get what you pay for and I will be glad to pay for the handset to avoid this again.
I realise I should read smallprint about returns before I purchase but I do expect a bit of empathy and for the supplier to offer a good service when the product you are paying for is faulty...I dont believe they are set up for an online service and are perhaps stronger when visiting the store. Note that I believe they only have 1 phone and you will need to try many many times to get through to their untrained and uncaring eployees.
