won't pick, it's a thick brick, knitted with a hot needle, having stub keyboard, lacking usb-host support.. pymeamo compared with pys60 supports almost nothing..
but don't get me wrong, it's very cool device, in term of software freedom. i'll wait for the next linux nokia device

....and why isn't this phone being sold in the Philippines? Nokia, you're letting us down...this is the only Nokia with ARM 600 Mhz PowerVR processor...and you do not allow us to experience this? C'mon Filipinos, let's boycott Nokia!

I'm a user of this wonderful machine!
I picked it up the other day from a lad for 75gbp as he was really short of money at the time.
I have used it for 3 days i think and to me this handset is one of the best I have ever used.
I have had nearly all the handsets on the market with the exception of ANY samsung or lg...y??? Simple SAMSUNG AND LG are the same boring menu systems on every phone.
SE and NOKIA have made a huge turnaround on the way their handsets work and in the way they are marketed.... If you look at sam and lg advertisments they are childish and weak, but look at SE and NOKIA and you will see a professional man in a suit with nice car using the handset for BUSINESS...
This to me shows tht NOKIA AND SE are both here not to make cheap crap phones but to make ahdnsets that say to someone HE IS A PRO!
The only thing I dont like about this handset is the fact that the battry level is really poor. I would only get about 1 day out of a full charge making about 2hrs of calls, 1hr on facebook and sending about 50emails and 30 texts

The OS is open source so apps will get ported to run in Portrait soon enough, also when the iPhone first came out it was portrait only for a lot of things and everyone wanted Landscape!!!
Also don't get why everyone is so caught up in Cap screens rather than resit. I hate having to remove my gloves in the cold weather or using my nose just to answer a call. To me Cap screens are a hinderance rather than a benefit.

dude look... N900 is more classy... And its ul and animations r very good and its speed is faster than omnia hd but rest which r imp features that r better in omnia hd... Look simply its bigger screen + amoled + capacitive... This is very imp feature which n900 lacks...
Before omnia hd... I was using iphone 3g... In iphone i like its touch... And then i bought omnia hd whose touch is similar... Also as in both iphone and omnia hd has touch keyboard so i dont like qwerty keyboard... For me touch keyboared is faster....
U can only use n900 in landscape mode... Now thats wat... Always in landscape... Very much disadvantage... While in omnia hd u can use it on both modes just by rotating...
Omnia hd captures better pics... Better videos...
Shows pictures and videos in better quallity...
Internet via opera has kineric scrolling as n900 but its more speedy...
Main disadvantage is that u hav to touch n900 with nail.. But omnia hd with skin...
Also i know u can check specs from website but i am only telling my views abt it... And my bro also agrees that omnia hd is better than n900 though he owns n900... Now nothing more can i say... Only sharing with u all..

You haven't even had N900 for one whole minute in your hand if this is the comparison you make; everyone can read the specs, we don't need you to do this for us.
N900 is all about linux aka. total freedom and a PC operating system on a phone--you don't know terminal->you don't need N900.
i8910 is a great phone with bad marketing and bad support, luckily with a great community too.
I really wonder where your IQ is at comparing a mobile pc with a phone...

Got the perfect upgrade from N95 8GB,,,,I believe Nokia ppl just made the right move... The pictures seem to spring alive... check it yourself... I couldn't take it off my hands for a couple of hours... Only set back :- Lack of third party softwares.... And i believe with these kind of stuff in no time i will be able to see a lot of apps floating.....

I'm a lucky bastard to have the highest customer appriciation with my provider.
This means that i've to pay € 20.- to get this awesome phone.
I've descided to pick up my brand new Nokia N900 this next monday!
I've got many expectations, but the only thin I worry is the 600 Mhz Processor.
Nokia doesn't seem to compete with other brands wich allready have an 800 Mhz inside.
Altough, it seems to be the ultimate phone for me and there's only one way to find out;

i hav omnia hd and my brother has n900... i really like to tell u which one is better...
both the phone r right now in my hands....
omnia hd vs n900..... ( both r the best phones..)
weight doesnot matter... omnia hd weight is 30 g less than n900 but it doesnot really matter... wat matters is is how slim is the phone... omnia wins in slimness...
omnia hd has 3.7" amoled screen... and this screen is thousands times more better than 3.5" screen of nokia.... also omnia hd hs capacitive while n900 hs resistive... resistive is shit as compared to capacitive...
both hav same processer... and same ram... n900 is fast but that fastness is 1 percent more fast...
camera of omnia kicks ass of n900... we all know that...
web browzing in n900 is good as compared to omnia hd... but but but... if u will web browze in omnia bia opera 10 then web browzing is 10 times fast and with kinetic scrolling... as kinetic scrolling is always better in capacitive is better then web browzing is also good... also web browzing speed
in omnia hd via opera 10 is faster than n900..
so omnia hd is better than n900...
also there is firmware cumming which will enhance spped of hole divice... giving kinetic scrolling to phone... in music and web browzing too...

hd2 is better, winmo is hardly noticeable with htc sense ui, but if you do like the keyboard better and charging your phone 2-3 times a day then n900 is for you.
and btw i find music to be better on hd2, the one speaker is louder and more crisp then n900 2 speakers, same for headphones better clarity and loudness,...... i guess it dont matter which one you choose there both excellent phones it just depends what you want to do with it
