Maverick, 03 Dec 2009Can anyone tell, if i buy n900 with US connection e.g. AT&T... moreif u buy the n900(same as any other phone) in the USA with a network such as AT&T, etc, it wont work with any other sim card. U should try to but one without a network but its usually more expensive this way. Then again, take d locked phone to india & have some dude unlock it for u, we do it in Ghana all the time..

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970If you knew how to follow a conversation you'd see I was talking about the 12 Megapixel phone linked to before and another reason as to why it probably describes a fake:-

Do you have to write a post like a book with every post being referred to included so you numbskulls can understand?

Can anyone tell, if i buy n900 with US connection e.g. AT&T or TMobile, since this is a GSM device, will it work in India if i remove sim and have a local operator sim thr.. bcoz i may have to move there for some work.. say 6-8 months and considering international roaming charges, it wont be a wise decision.. Pl suggest..

ben, 03 Dec 2009come on 600 MHz? no way, another slow phone from nokia,im st... moreThe N900 has a faster CPU than the Milestone and a more powerful CPU than any WinMo device to date (including ALL Omnias).

OMAP >>> Anything else (as stated previously)

Heck, a 600 MHz OMAP might even EQUAL a 1,5 GHz Snapdragon!!!

smee, 03 Dec 2009Well vinny, it _is_ silly for Nokia to invest all this mone... moreall good points ;)
but that is also why apple is stuck with its design for the iphone: if they want the new OS they release every year being able to work and downloaded (for money...) by the customers, they need to keep the same hardware (except the CPU).

On another hand you're totally right, that's also gonna be the problem with maemo 6. If nokia releases it on let's say a capacitive screen with no physical keyboard, I don't really think it will work with the N900. Which would make the N900 useless in comparison of its new brother running maemo 6.
But that will more likely happen in more than a year, which is (let's be honest here) usually more than what a "geek's phone life expectation" is.

                            But only time will tell.
Until then, I agree with you: let's hope a great success for maemo 5 and the N900!

It would have been better, had they improved the hsdpa & hasupa performance on this. on top of this - real player would be an added advantage. no mms support in any tuch screen phones...why?
                                no pbx support.
e75 has better blue tooth prorocol support, but just 3.2 MP Camera and again hasdpa & hsupa is not very good. also, video calls not supoported in n900.

I have seen that many of you are frightened from the release of MAEMO6. Come on!!! Nokia will do the same as they did for E63 when it was released. They removed some features from E71 and said it is a new model!!!
                                        WHO agrees with me?
