Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970I agree. But in Swiss now we have good offers for PostPaid with Orange. We are waiting curiously for long period and already some offers are over!

Till now there is no news about availability despite of Nokia announcing 16th November as date of shipment.

I guess nokia marketing is getting more and more horrible with providing unreaistic dates, just to cover the crowd and to prevent people switching to other handsets.

So far I bougt several handsets all nokia and Symbian Touch is really not worthy. I thought this will be a ray of hope, but to add disappointment, we hear only we hear the delays. Hope you understand :( !

Not interested if the phone can't send or receive MMS. Even the most basic phones can do that.

Anonymous, 17 Nov 2009No problem vinny. I know that T-Mobile have rolled out s... moreI really don't like AT&T.
Their customers service and their prices are the worst.
If I was looking for the best 3G network here in SF, I would go for Verizon.
Their customers service looks nice and their network seems unbelievable. But prices are still a little expensive and they are using CDMA.
I would think about it if I wanted the DROID, but the N900 looks waaaaaay much nicer to me.
I might still consider it only because of the price difference.

To all those who are asking again and again about the release in India. Nokia has clearly stated the initial release is targeted for UK, Russia and North America Only.

Asia and other regions will be released in End of December or January 2010.

I know that T-Mobile have rolled out some new price plans so I hope that things work out for you. Personally I wouldn't buy a smartphone just to use it with EDGE. In fact I'm unhappy about the removal of all US 3G frequencies from most new smartphones and I only spend a few weeks there a year.

As much as I'd like to I've never been able to try the T-Mobile USA data network (when roaming) because their 3G frequencies are incompatible with my phones and I can't use EDGE on my prepaid TM USA SIM because they don't allow users to buy a data package (unless you have a Sidekick).

I did get a AT&T SIM card this summer when I was in Miami (because they allow data on prepaid) and all I can say is that their 3G network is a joke on the East Coast. I didn't get a decent consistent strong 3G signal until I was in the terminal at JFK preparing to leave the USA.

I think that AT&T's signal is better in major West Coast cities than it is on the East Coast (it was pretty bad in SF though) but I have to say that I've rarely had a strong 3G signal while roaming on the AT&T network no matter where I was.

I know that T-Mobile have been continuing with their 3G network rollout (with renewed commitment to this from parents DT) and I believe that they are trying to complete that rollout and also upgrade their network to 7.2Mbps by this end of the year. They plan to upgrade again to 21Mbps in 2010.

AT&T on the other hand plan to upgrade their network to 7.2Mbps in 2010 but from my experience of their network I would say that it won't make any difference to their end users.

Just used the n900 today in nokia flagship store. better than i thought it would be and also smaller than i thought it would be. It has a built in FM radio.. most sites ive looked at have said its not available, but it is and i saw it. the radip app is built in software, not 3rd party. it is true that it doesnt have mms, but like the nokia rep said, who really uses mms these days??? the touch screen even though its capacitive i was amazed by the feedback response. seriously you only had to touch the screen lightly for any reaction. camera was amazing compared to the reps n95 8gb, video recording is in nHD at 30fps (unlike most sites saying its only 25fps). i didnt have much time to see any of the other features. as with the design and build quality, it feels very solid. and the slide mechanism very stable. all in all great phone so far... and I Pre-Ordered It haha! UK release is thursday 20th sim free in nokia stores, Vodafone and T-mobile will be getting it on 30th November.. (UK, not sure about other locations)
