0v0, 23 Oct 2009Exactly bro,,, i am with you...:)everyone will only need 750mb of the 2gb cause it's linux and the apps are even smaller or as small as symbians a few kb but i didn't even have 1gb of apps let alone sis/sisx apps

Hi,
one qucik question guys, but since i dont have a data plan (because at home/work we use a very fast wi-fi) I DO NOT want the phone to connect to my carrier's browser by mistake. eg. the regular browser on a classic phone when you press the "internet" option. Is there a way to block the phone from goin on the internet/3G? i do not want to get charged for it. For example WinMo has a 3rd party app called "tweak" i believe and it fixes this problem.

i am using now Omnia i900,... moreno one will really need 2gb of apps just atleast 50mb cause most of them are widgets and are good
since i have the 5800i have symtorrent,mobizip,healthsafety,ovistore,smartmovie and some other
and that's like 15mb

i am using now Omnia i900, and as you know the storage memory is only=96.55 and with this i have around 65 application installed which is mooorrreeee thhaaaan enough.
so what will 2 GB will be!!!::):):):)

Well this is indeed a first, probably for all of us, regarding smartphones.
It has hapened in the pc/mac domain a few times though.
The real culprit behind this is apple; they use a simple yet effective marketing technique, they convince kids, teenagers that they are the new "trend"

so they can futher spread the word. There is no more energic and narrow minded advertising that the one of a kid in the search for social confirmation.
So actually apple uses kids to make their phones (for me the guy that killed himself in china at 22 years, is still a kid), they use kids to advertise their gadgets, so that even more kids may come and buy them.
And as sick as this may sound, steve jobs has even got his liver transplant from a young girl.
So may or may not, the kids of wich backs apple is feeding, see the real truth, for the time beeing it's written all over that iPhone is using nokia technology so this pretty much shuts them up.

The competition is what help us (consumers) to get better and better products.
I know apple didn't create the "touch-screen" phone. But I'm glad they promoted it as they did.
I love touch screen and if apple didn't have such a success with the iPhone, it wouldn't be as much touch-screen device out there today.
Now I don't run for the iphone (never bought one and probably never will) as it doesn't offer what "I" need as far as phone features.
But I'm glad it exists as I'm glad other companies rush for the best camera phone or the fastest phone, etc...
I actually never had 2 phones in a row coming from the same Brand. (always switched from brand to brand)
If Nokia was the only company on earth we wouldn't have the N900 coming out today.

But I don't forget that it was Apple who really opened the eyes of makers to touch phones, and shaping the idea of UIs. The iPhone is arguably the "true first" (not timely) touch phone so to speak...
I really love competition. Apple & others push Nokia so I get what I really want: even better nokia smartphones!
