Flash 10 uses content created with ActionScript 3, Flash 9 (and Flash-Lite) use content created with ActionScript 2, ActionScript is Adobe's proprietary version of JavaScript they are completely incompatible with each other.

Modern multicore PC's have the resources available to run both of the virtual machines required, the N900 (or other mobiles) do not.

Meanwhile as almost half the world's mobile browsing is done on iPhone's, most sites cater to it by using open standard formats to present their content.

Flash is unneeded and will be dead in a few years.

Well although you are a bright iSheep I guess amazon does have a reason to keep MMS on the specs page.

As for portrait/landscape here's some proof of portrait already implemented and news about the FLASH supporting mozilla browser.

Also I noticed someone mentioning ab some nice plugin for removing "flash" adds on safari and keeping the relevant content only.

When do you think such a "plugin" will be available for the -cough- iBrowser -cough- ?...

And what applicatons from there do you use? Do you have a browser that suports multitab? An officesuite like openoffice?
Keep in mind N900 doesn't need lame apps like youtube viewer or swirly diamond screensaver, no we don't count screensaver as apps :|

Also having cleared out that iphone is hardware-wise inferior

(small unprecise screen, bad camera, no "flash" lol, half the memory with no ssd slot, no radio, no fm transmitter)

and software wise aswell

(low battery life, lacks multitasking, inability to use flash or acces your own system files, poor video recording despite the hardware beeing there, no wireless BT file transfer, no DLNA but then it's a vga phone with a resolution lamer than vga, slow HSDPA speed, no stereo, only ONE polyphonic speaker)

So it can even be a quadcore and lame osx core won't do any better.

AND the N900 having mms, fm radio, portrait mode (any other rumours of "missing" stuff I haven's heard of?)

WHAT does the iphone HAVE and what can iPhone DO besides beeing a slim ladies phone? (you don't see a pink H2 every day, do you? -if-you-get-the-joke...)

So answer this question or get lost!

I want to say that the design of this phone is not that bad although it's little bit thick. Still, it looks good and it'll be so handy. This Finish company has made thousands of mobile till now and still they are on the way. Day by day they are adding more features on their phones. Recently they introduced Capacitive touch screen on the X6. Soon, they will make Amoled Capacitive touch screen. They have introduced the avi/xvid codec on their N900. And face detection on N86. I agree that nokia is late in every steps but they are going ahead. It's very true that Nokia's phone are very user friendly, I have to agree this. But it's also true that their S60 V5 is not that perfect. For this the 5800 and N97 has lots of bugs. This is why the company has introduced to the new Maemo 5 and we can hope to have a good os. And, this Finish company holds a great position in mobile music, audio quality. Most of the nokia's high and medium end phones own stereo speakers (2 speakers) and 3.5 mm audio jack and Nokia's phone offers class-leading audio quality along with Apple. I like the dual speakers and 3.5 mm audio jack ! I think the N900 will be a good phone !

dis fone is so dam useless!!!its dsign is so ugly!! anyway,i think dat SE fones r way much better dan Nokia fones!!id rather buy SE fones dan Nokia fones!!my father bought de n97 a few months ago n it came up with a lot of problems!!not even nokia best fones r not even better than SE fones!!lots of people buy nokia fones just bcoz its user is friendly!some people buy nokia fones bcoz they see a lot of people r using nokia fones.user friendly does not mean anything if de fones r useless!de fones have 2 b good!i vote that de company nokia should close down!!!!any1 with me?!!!!if u r with me,dan post your comment!!!!!

Yeah symbian may be on the same level with apple so yes it might seem out of date; Buth here are the apple software flaws:
