when is this phone actually suppose to come out?
does anyone here actually even used the n900?
i can tell you with confidence that this is no iphone killer (if you think so, you can keep dreaming). im not even an iphone fan, i have an xperia x1a and its a pretty good phone in most respect but definitely not an iphone killer either.
what made iphone seem great was that it appealled to the simplest user and that a bunch of developers jumped on the bandwagon and came out with lots of apps for it.
no company is going to jump on the maemo bandwagon other than the small maemo community. An those people are just developing in their spare time.
i definitely would like to see this phone do well, but i dont think i will rush out to buy the n900. ill wait for actual user reviews and maybe the next n900 version.

You can buy a $30 that does MMS and that's what this inferior phone should sell for.

lookin forward to the release of this one...finally a phone that i can consider replacing my E66 (which i absolutely adore) with!!! very sleek and clear cut without looking too masculine!

well i will suggest all thoes people who r thinking abt this phone because it has qwerty keyboard that dont buy this just because of qwerty.. There r phones which hav full qwerty keyboard which is touch... Touch qwerty keyboard is thousands time better than only qwerty keyboard...
Also to all thoes people thoes who r thinking that its touch screen is the best screen... Then they all r wrong.. Its screen sucks.. U hav to play this phone with ur nail.. Not skin.. Ha ha ha..

At this time I am an Iphone owner, it's 2g Iphone with 3.0 OS. What Iphone have is specific approach to mobile technology, well nothing new for apple, they're just different. But wait the minute, to compare this beast to any version of Iphone is just ridiculous. Can't wait for N900.

First it was released to quickly, then orange crippled it with crappy firmware so not enough that the video recording was pointless because of the lame audio, then orange ruined the web experience by not permitting wifi connection.
And finally when the firmware was up to the task the sobs @ nokia drowned powerful phones like i8910 and satio by releasing an army of crappy s60v5 so that developers won't take advantage of the high specs of i8910 and satio.
I only hope se fans will revive s60v5 with decent apps & games since nokia did it's best to cripple it's release as much as possible.

bugs, 06 Oct 2009T-mo USA will carry N900? It has the T-mo USA 3G band 1700/2100.From personal experience, better buy phones UNLOCKED! Carried phones tend to be not only more expensive, but also crippled. Just look at E71x!

Remember the mms they said that was garbage and now look at them the they try and bash this phone cause it doesn't even have mms and it's not even out and the iphone was out for 3.5years and just was able to mms last month

Iphone's OS is not only closed source, but apple's grip is so strong that you can't even do basic tasks without apple allowing you to. This may be the fault of some unspecified hardware/sw failure, and lack of performance in the first two iPhone devices, that has not yet been disclosed.
