Nokia is Killing it.. Arrghhh... just talked to Nokia UK sales team... said release date for Uk is 1st week of november. not goood

this is pathetic!i would expect that a phone with a lot of comments would truly be an awsome device...but,no. people have to talk about other forms of crap instead of staying on topic. the fact is that the iphone is dependant on the network it is sold. nokia isn't. apple created a hype about their creation and made everyone think it was the best thing since sliced bread. it's not. it is a half decent internet tablet. if the eeepc was slightly smaller, people would have had a much harder choice. the n900 tries to fill in that gap. It will fail. It will be too expensive. The best internet tablet for now is the 5800. Reasonably priced;well equiped and portable. The n900 and the iphone are pioneer devices. People need to spend more money than necesarry and make due with incompletd feature lists so that technology can move on.Have fun! I intend to reap the benefits of your work. Thank you!

So how come Adobe just announced Flash 10 for Mobiles?
Do you have a time machine to get an N900 and go to next year when Adobe is releasing it?

Iphone and android are the only ones that aren't mature enough to support it. Also as you are a regular user you probably don't know of the many sites that offer original hd videos or the underground ones that offer full movies. Also there are a lot of nice games and sites in flash. It doesn't quite matter if it's 9 or 10 and your crapy mac browser has it embedded so that's why you don't miss it.

Anonymous, 07 Oct 2009I think apple should take time to develop in their spare ti... moreA few phones have Flash-Lite support which enables content made with ActionScript 2, the new version of Flash 10 for mobiles will be released as a beta for Windows and Palm WebOS later this year, Symbian and Android some time next year, it uses content written with ActionScript 3.
They are not compatible with each other so all the old content will have to be rewritten.
A desktop PC has enough power to run both virtual machines but a phone doesn't.
There is no mention of a version for Maemo.
YouTube which serves the largest amount of videos does not need Flash it and many other sites provide content without the need for flash specifically for iPhones.
I use a Flash blocker on my MacBook, when I go to YouTube I get the HD iPhone version automatically, without Flash.

does an... moreI think apple should take time to develop in their spare time aswell, I mean all major brands now support flash out of the box, only apple doesn't.
And this is not only due the bad battery but also from resource management problems inherited from the osx.
Either way did you know that 90% of the web videos are flash or are embedded in a flash player and that every second page you browse through contains flash elements, and I don't even want to start about those awesome flash web pages you iSheep can't access at all.
Adobe made flash free so even sheep like you that don't even know what thier looking at can enjoy it but apple was too cheap to pay it's mediocre programmers so naturally you have the lamest phone that can't even install an app as common as flash...
Sad sad iSheep, and N900 does already have mms the fact that it didn't have it 6 months before the release won't change the fact that it took apple 3 years to allow it's little worshipers to use it,probably the same with flash LMAO
