That's what happens when you stuff a crappy OS kernel in a phone.

Well although you are a bright iSheep I guess amazon does have a reason to keep MMS on the specs page.
As for portrait/landscape here's some proof of portrait already implemented and news about the FLASH supporting mozilla browser.

Also I noticed someone mentioning ab some nice plugin for removing "flash" adds on safari and keeping the relevant content only.
When do you think such a "plugin" will be available for the -cough- iBrowser -cough- ?...
Also having cleared out that iphone is hardware-wise inferior
(small unprecise screen, bad camera, no "flash" lol, half the memory with no ssd slot, no radio, no fm transmitter)
and software wise aswell
(low battery life, lacks multitasking, inability to use flash or acces your own system files, poor video recording despite the hardware beeing there, no wireless BT file transfer, no DLNA but then it's a vga phone with a resolution lamer than vga, slow HSDPA speed)
AND the N900 having mms, fm radio, portrait mode (any other rumours of "missing" stuff I haven's heard of?)
WHAT does the iphone HAVE besides beeing a slim ladies phone? (you don't see a pink H2 every day, do you? -if-you-get-the-joke...)

Do you have a time machine to see how many years it will apple need to have webkit browser performance (aka flash 3)?
Also if flash pages load slow on safari follow the nest steps:
1)remove safari
2)backup your documents
3)insert a windows cd (98 and up)
4)reach the screen with the following question:
"Format C: ?"
5)click yes
6)continue installing
7)eat a bar of chocolate because you will soon run into an os that may require you to perform complex actions such as thinking once in a while
8)enjoy the richness & speed of available browsers availble, I recomend opera.

About multitasking, if you by default have disabled multitasking to save battery, I don't think that is such a good thing. I mean its like limiting Bugatti Veyron's top speed to 100mph so that it wouldn't suck out all the gas so fast. And then saying yeah it can go 253mph but by default it won't. N900 has the multitasking on by default. Iphone's argument about multitasking is moot, it was not designed for multitasking since they didn't give it a battery for it.
And people talk about how jailbreaking makes iphone better? Pimp My Ride might make a car better. I want better when I carry my stuff out of the store. In Finland we have slightly derogatory saying that furry dice makes your car accelerate faster. If you need to do something to your device after you bought it, can you honestly claim that the design is as good as it should/could be?
Please stop argumenting for iphone's benefit with jailbreaking, since it is then no longer a stock device is it? When comparing these two, if you actually, really have to, compare the devices in the state the maker intended them to be used. Please? Same goes for the multitasking-war the n900 wins all ps iphone users dont read this while your in school you must wait to your mum or dad collects you

Oops i forgot. Apple doesn't allow you to access the cached files. No matter maybe somone will write an app for every video hosting site on the web that will allow you to download and not only watch, like you do with youtube.

How about the way apple released it's first phone with it's first firmware? Almost nothing worked and you crowded like sheep to pay around 500$ without contract on a simple phone that couldn't do anything, just because apple told you it was good. Was that onnest? NO, but nokia at least does release plenty of preview info about their devices so you know what to expect.
The fact that is open source doesn't mean it isn't supported by nokia and tailored by nokia as they see fit; it means that any developer who wants to can modify the system the way he wants, speaking of wich, two other operating systems are beeing brought right now to maemo by independent developers, google it.
Neither 5800 nor (especially) iphone (because of the lame resolution and low battery life) can't be called internet tablets. Neither suport multiple tabs and multitasking so even if there are some multi-tab browsers on symbian the performance is extremley low. If we are to add the lame battery life on iphones with the lack of support for flash or nativley viewing youtube (won't even start counting other sites) brings it down to the level of WAP compatible phones, that's right some of the first internet phones could access the net without flash so that's where isheep stand right now, only with a slightly bigger screen.
Both iphone and 5800 are made for average users so try for a change to think out of the box (aka. your head) and imagine other people may need different features WICH YOU MAY NOT NEED!
