Anonymous, 04 Oct 2009Get an iPhone... ...come over to the dark side, you know... moreHell no, iPhone is the last thing I want to see in my house. I don't have any problem with what it capable of. But I will never buy it becuz everybody is having one. Seriously, how boring is that? When you look around and see everybody uses the same god damn phone!! I like to be different. I just check that the TouchPro doesn't support att 3G as well. Well.... only N97 and the Aino left :( or maybe I will wait until N900 support att 3G.

The international cellphone emergency number is 112.

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2009"It's got Linux like the Motorola V8" Now that's one of ... moreComparing this to the Linux in the V8 IS a valid comparison.

There's Nokia sheep here who somehow seem to think that because it's Linux based it will somehow rival a desktop distro...

              ...wrong!

There is no way that the N900 will be able to do some of the things that have been claimed in this thread...

              ...open office??? Yeah, sure.

Why isn't Nokia working on the MMS and stuck in landscape issues instead of handing it over to the Maemo community?

Open Source has some advantages but getting people to work for free on the boring behind the scenes driver stuff isn't one of them.

No MMS no go for me..

Sorry but no one should buy this phone.

NOKIA needs slap on the face for that.

I mean come on all these AMAZING features and no MMS??

I'm not paying that price for a mobile and when someone wants to send me a MMS i'll say sorry my phone doesn't support that.

Wake up NOKIA this phone should be you flagship for crying out loud.

Don't get me wrong i LOVE NOKIA and i think they are the top, all the mobiles I've ever owned are made by them i never bought any other brand, BUT this no MMS thing is unforgivable!!

I'm sorry for sounding really angry but I'm truly disappointed.

I hope no body will come and say yeah it does support MMS because it doesn't.

                Here you go http://maemo.nokia.com/features/camera/

read under (SHARE THE MOMENT). Guess what?? I want to share the moment i want to send it via MMS like i do with my other NOKIA mobiles one of them more 3 years old. This device has Infrared port for god's sake.

So sorry NOKIA but unless this MMS thing is fixed by NOKIA not by a 3rd party app i wont touch it.

                Take Care.

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2009Resistive screen is actually the more precise one that work... morecapactive is more responsive then resistance... resistive works by pressing the screen and capactive works by touching the screen. but i think resistance will work fine with N900.

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2009The fact that this uses resistive touchscreen technology is... moreResistive screen is actually the more precise one that works anything eg. stylus, fingernail etc.

Capacitative only works in contact with your skin and nothing else, that's why iphones have those bulky icons that look like they were made for ret@rded people.

So for an internet table a resistive screen will always be the smarter choice.

This phone is only 3g for tmobile users in the US. If NOKIA doesn't release a NAM AT&T version, they will lose a lot of sales. Most importantly, MINE!!!

The fact that this uses resistive touchscreen technology is the only reason i wouldn't buy something like this. Resistive touch screens are inaccurate. Its fat and chubby with a real hard disk drive inside so i would expect decent battery life.

Its chunky and big but other than that the resolution is nice (800x480) as well as the color display, 16m.

I think ill stick with my motorola cliq.
